Fortnite Season 8 is yet another season that seemingly doesn’t include Sniper Rifles. However, here is how you can find Sniper Rifles in Fortnite Season 8 to dominate your opponents from afar.
Sniper Rifles come in all shapes and sizes in Fortnite. In the beginning, there were only the Bolt Action Snipers. Epic Games later added the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifles, Heavy Snipers, Full Auto Snipers, and much more.
On top of regular Snipers, Fortnite added various Mythic and Exotic Snipers. These dealt extra damage or had special abilities. Regardless, Snipers are an important part of Fortnite’s meta.
But at the start of Season 8, it seems as if the only Snipers available are Automatic Snipers which are just glorified Assault Rifles. However, there are a few less traditional ways to find Sniper Rifles in Fortnite Season 8.
Finding Sniper Rifles in Fortnite Season 8
Besides the Automatic Sniper, you aren’t going to find a Sniper Rifle lying on the floor. You also won’t find them in any of the chests scattered around the map. In order to get Snipers in Fortnite Season 8, you will have to buy them from characters.
The only legitimate Sniper Rifles that players can find in Fortnite Season 8 are Rail Guns and Dragon’s Breath Sniper. While Rail Guns aren’t technically “snipers”, they’re more of a sniper than the Automatic Sniper Rifle.
Below is a map that shows the location of the four characters that sell Sniper Rifles. Suba Jonesy at Coral Castle, Charlotte at Pleasant Park, and J.B. Chimpanksi at Weather Station all sell Rail Guns. Pitstop at Boney Burbs sells the Dragon’s Breath Sniper.
Each weapon costs 400 Gold Bars. Here is where you can find Snipers in Fortnite Season 8:
Sadly, you will have to spend bars to get these Sniper Rifles. However, you at least have the option of getting a real Sniper Rifle in Fortnite Season 8. There have been seasons in the past that have excluded Sniper Rifles altogether.

How to unlock the Cube Queen skin in Fortnite Season 8
Epic Games has officially revealed the Fortnite Season 8 secret Battle Pass skin. Here is how to unlock the Cube Queen skin in Fortnite.
The Fortnite Season 8 secret Battle Pass skin has been revealed, and here is how to get the Cube Queen skin in Fortnite.
Fortnite has made a tradition each season of withholding one of the skins included in the Battle Pass. Sometimes Epic Games will reveal the skin early. Other times, it will keep the skin’s design a secret.
For Season 8, Fortnite only gave players a silhouette of the skin to start. During the trailer for the Fortnitemares 2021 event, Fortnite revealed the Cube Queen skin.
While the Cube Queen is a part of the Season 8 Battle Pass, players can’t unlock it just by leveling up. Like every other secret skin, the Cube Queen has special unlock criteria.
Unlock Fortnite Cube Queen skin
For right now, we don’t know the exact method for unlocking the Cube Queen skin in Fortnite. It’s currently set to release on October 28th, and that’s when we will know how to unlock it.
It will likely be locked behind completing certain in-game quests. Most secret Battle Pass skins have required players to complete a certain number of weekly quests. The Cube Queen skin could require players to complete x amount of Character Punchcards.
However, with Cube Queen being an in-game boss, players might have to defeat her to unlock the skin. Or, players who defeat her might unlock one of her style variants.
The Cube Queen Fortnite skin has three different styles. Players might unlock all three once they unlock the skin. However, Fortnite has probably locked the style variants behind more quests.
We will continue to keep this article up to date once Fortnite reveals the official unlock method. Until then, we’d love to hear your thoughts on this season’s secret skin. Share with us on Twitter @FortINTEL.

Fortnite characters locations Season 8 map
Luckily, the folks at Fortnite.GG has an interactive map of all of the NPCs in Season 8.
Here’s a map of all of the NPCs in Fortnite Season 8. We’ll keep this updated over the course of the season as more appear or are found around the map. Bigfoot, for instance, is missing from this list. We’re not sure whether that’s because he isn’t there or just hasn’t been found yet.
- Disguised man: offers a prop disguise
- Pink Rift: allows you to activate a Rift
- Yellow Cloud: Reveal Future Storm Circle
Compared to seasons past, the number of Fortnite character locations in Season 8 is very minimal. As well, players can no longer upgrade weapons through NPCs. The pool of Mythic weapons has also been minimized.

How to get the Mythic Sideways Scythe in Fortnite Season 8
The Sideways Scythe has finally been added to Fortnite, and here is how players can use Monster Parts to upgrade it to Mythic Rarity.
The Sideways Scythe is the third Sideways weapon to be added to Fortnite Season 8, and here is how to get its Mythic version.
The Sideways is one of the main gimmicks introduced in Fortnite Season 8. It’s a special zone that is home to monstrous creatures. It also doesn’t allow any building once inside.
In addition to The Sideways, Fortnite Season 8 also introduced Sideways Monsters, Sideways Chests, and the Cube Assassin. Players can find all of these inside The Sideways.
Players can access The Sideways via the large pimple-like marking on the map. They can also spawn Sideways Anomalies by walking towards the purple rifts on the map. Here’s how to get the Fortnite Mythic Sideways Scythe.
Getting the Sideways Scythe
Like any of the Sideways weapons, the Sideways Scythe can only be obtained from The Sideways. Players can find them as floor loot or inside Sideways chest. You can find these chests inside Sideways Anomalies.
Additionally, players can get the Sideways Scythe by killing the new Caretaker monster. However, these massive beasts are not easy to take down.
The Sideways Scythe can be found in five different rarities. The higher the rarity, the more damage each hit of the scythe will do. You can find them from Grey to Orange rarity.
Players can also heal themselves by eliminating players with the Sideways Scythe. It can deal up to 46 damage per swing which is more than double the damage of the pickaxe.
Upgrading the Scythe to Mythic
Players can upgrade the Fortnite Sideways Scythe just like they would the Minigun and Rifle. You will need to kill Sideways Monsters to get Cube Parts. You can use these parts to upgrade the Sideways Scythe to Mythic Rarity.
- Uncommon (green) -> Rare (blue) – 15 Cube Monster parts
- Rare (blue) -> Epic (purple) – 20 Cube Monster Parts
- Epic (purple) -> Legendary (orange) – 25 Cube Monster Parts
- Legendary (orange) -> Mythic (gold) – 50 Cube Monster Parts
Players can upgrade the Fortnite Sideways Scythe via the crafting menu. This is the same menu where players can use Nuts and Bolts to sidegrade normal weapons.
