The Guided Missile may be the next item out of the vault in Fortnite Season 2.
Fortnite Season 2 brought a long list of changes to what was a basic foundation of Chapter 2. Now that the floodgates are open, what will Epic add next?
We’ve seen reports of some leaked items that will likely come to the game in future updates, but what about some familiar faces? The unvaulting of C4 shows that this season is more explosive than past releases. Could we be getting another explosive weapon?
Data miners have found that the Guided Missile is back in the game files. This item was removed from all modes, including Creative, when it saw the inside of the vault.
There could be a number of reasons that Epic has added the model back into the game files. They could be adding it back into Creative Mode or bringing it to the ‘High Explosives’ LTM. This was a relatively bug-prone weapon when it was in the game.
A lot of hardcore players are complaining about the explosive nature of Fortnite in Chapter 2. There were a lot of Rocket Launcher variants in Season 1, and C4 is largely considered overpowered in competitive settings.
The Guided Missile went through a couple of phases. It was incredibly overpowered when it came out and subsequently nerfed into the ground. Players hardly ever used it after the nerf, but it did generate some awesome clips.
The Guided Missile will probably always be too overpowered or underpowered to use as a weapon. It was a great way to goof around, though, and could be a lot of fun to use.
