Epic Games have officially released the first teaser for Fortnite’s upcoming Season 7.
The first teaser was tweeted out from Fortnite’s official Twitter account on Monday, December 3, with a caption that reads: “A bitter ice spreads… 3 days to Season 7.”
This seemingly confirms that Season 7 of the popular battle royale game will kick off on Thursday, December 6, as had been expected by fans based off the “time remaining” counter built into the game.
The teaser may also confirm that the Fortnite island will be undergoing a winter makeover as has been leaked from previous updates, as fans prepare for the “bitter ice” to make it’s way to the game.

Included with the tweet was the first image regarding Season 7, which features a large white background, reminiscent of snow. Cut into the white background is what looks like a hooded figure, with sharp horns spiking upwards out of his head and two pieces of ice representing the eyes. The face seems to be made up of an image of the sky, which appears to be showing the Northern Lights, signaling that the aurora borealis may be visible for the duration of the season.
Also spotted on the right-hand side of the hooded figure is a Fortnite character on either a pair of skis or a snowboard, heading down towards the bottom corner of the map. Some fans believe that this is a hint that Epic Games may add these items to the game as vehicles in Season 7, but the developers have yet to confirm whether this will be the case.
While this is the first teaser Epic Games have released before Season 7, the developers usually release multiple hints at what is coming, so keep your eyes peeled for new information as it becomes available.
