The Cube continues to move! Players have (so far) correctly speculated that the Cube moves every 1 hour and 43 minutes.

In Fortnite, many events have baffled players and sent the community into waves of speculative discussion and theorising, including a rocket launch that created a ton of locations and a rift in the sky.

Recently, lightning strikes from that rift caused it to close and form a supernatural cube on top of a rock in Paradise Palms. We thought it was going to stay there.

We guessed wrong. Today, that cube has moved a step.

The Cube in Fortnite Battle Royale at Paradise Palms has moved down the rock it formed upon. One player captured the footage by accident, trying to inspect it. Luckily for us, they chose the right time to look at it – as it tilted and fell down the rock.

The cube only seems to move a step, but this could be prompting the beginning of a major path the Cube may be taking. After all, we know that a Castle has to form at some point.

Where might the cube be going, and how long will it take to get to its destination? We’ll just have to wait and see!

User FNLeak has discovered event flags located in the source of Fortnite. These flags seem to represent 19 different in-game events for the Cube. It appears that after each move the Cube does, it will then activate a Rune.

After the Cube has Moved and activated Runes 7 times, it seems the Cube will then move to a Lake, begin to Move again, Lightning will occur, something will occur with the Lake, and finally the Cube will Turn On. If all Cube movements are similar to the Movement which occurred today, it does not seem likely that the Cube will move to Loot Lake, possibly the nearby Oasis?

Players are speculating that something is inside the cube and when the cube opens it will prompt the beginning of Season 6, changing the map entirely.
