Twitch streaming star Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar trolled Fortnite pros after stumbling across an influx of complaints about the BRUTE Mechs.

Ever since they were added in the v10.00 update, the BRUTE Mechs have become, quite possibly, the most controversial addition in Fortnite’s short history. We’ve already seen plenty of outrage from the community – with players, professional and casual alike, heading to other titles like Apex Legends.

Despite the backlash and campaigns like #RemoveTheMech, Epic Games have stood firm in their stance – stating that the BRUTE helps weaker players have a better chance at claiming a victory compared to previous seasons.

Summit, on the other hand, decided to troll pro players who have been vocal in their complaints by essentially telling them to just deal with it.

“I see all these Fortnite players complaining about mechs,” he tweeted back on August 16. “LOL, just build.”

Of course, not everybody took it too kindly, but plenty of Fortnite pros saw right through summit’s fishing attempts and opted not to give in to their urges to correct him.

Team Liquid’s Noah ‘Vivid’ Wright fired back with the classic “That’s Bait” gif, seemingly warning his fellow responders not to get worked up by the post.

NRG Esports player Benjy ‘Benjyfishy’ Fish had a more emotional than most, responding directly with a frowny face.

With it being clear that Epic has no immediate plans to remove the BRUTE Mechs, or even nerfing them, its still something that everybody is going to have to deal with for the time being.

Whether or not the backlash becomes too much for the developers as the season progresses remains to be seen, but some sort of counter will have to be worked up by the community in the meantime.

That counter, however, won’t come in the form of summit’s “just build” advice considering the BRUTE can stomp right through a build within seconds.
