Players have been finding Quadcrashers constantly revving their engines even though nobody is driving them.
Usually, the sound of an engine revving is a cue that a player is nearby on a Quadcrasher or a Golf Cart, but that hasn’t been the case as of late.
A strange bug is causing Quadcrashers to continue revving their engines after they are crashed and abandoned.
While this bug isn’t detrimental to gameplay or function it can certainly be annoying.
The engine rev can be heard over a large area and can be overbearing to players listening for enemies or builds.
A fix is relatively easy, and you can stop the engine with a few different methods:
- Shooting the Quadcrasher has proven to be effective. Sometimes, a few bullets will stop the engine from screaming, other times you will have to entirely destroy the vehicle.
- Getting on and off the vehicle will often work. This, for the most part, has stopped the sounds coming from the Quadcrasher.
Both methods are simple enough but they can also give away your position and leave you exposed to the prying eyes of enemy players.
The Quadcrasher was added to Fortnite Battle Royale back in October with the V6.1 patch and has been used to make some crazy and ridiculous plays as we see from Myth below.

With Epic Games releasing a new update almost every week, this issue may be solved in an upcoming patch. We will continue to provide updates as more information is made available.
