Epic Games has already announced the $1 million Xbox Cup where only players on the Xbox One console will be able to participate, and now PlayStation 4 owners will get a shot as well.
Fortnite competitive players have been keeping busy by training for the $30 million event taking place from July 26 to July 28 in New York City.
There hasn’t been much information released about what competitive players should expect after the World Cup, with many waiting to see if there is more money to be earned in 2019.
Epic Games already announced the Xbox only solo tournament, and now PlayStation players will have a chance to earn some cash as well.
According to Epic’s community manager, Nathan Mooney, there will be a PS4 cup held after the Xbox Cup.
Fans all around the community were extremely happy to hear that competitive Fortnite tournaments are finally headed to console, so everybody can get the chance to earn cash for their Victory Royales.
There has not been any more information released like a start date or format, but we can expect the PS4 cup to follow a similar style as the Xbox Cup.
The Xbox Cup will feature the top 1,500 solo players who will fight for their slice of the $1 million prize pot.
