Looting in Fortnite Chapter 2 might be more balanced than it ever has been. There’s one change that would make it nearly perfect.

Epic completely revamped the loot system in Fortnite Chapter 2, which made everything more balanced than it had been in a long time. They also provided players with one of the most-requested quality-of-life changes in the game: putting shotguns into chests.

Before Chapter 2, the only shotgun that was available from a chest was a Combat, and that wasn’t even in the game for too long. Now, all weapons are available from chests which is a far better alternative.

Chests also spawn at a 100% rate in Fortnite Chapter 2. You will know all of the chest spawns if you know a landing spot like the back of your hand.

There is one problem with this system, though: snipers. Is there anything more annoying than landing on a chest, opening it, and finding a green sniper?

Here’s my solution to this problem – and it’s a simple one. Take snipers out of the chests. It doesn’t matter if it’s a green, blue, purple, or gold sniper – they can all ruin your game if it’s the first gun you get out of a chest.

Snipers have to be one of the least-essential weapons in Fortnite. You may want a sniper, but you don’t need one. Chests should carry essential weapons like shotguns, ARs, and SMGs. Even pistols and rocket launchers are more useful than snipers out of your first chest.

Think about it: we dealt with nearly 10 seasons of Fortnite without being able to get a shotgun out of a chest. Shotguns are and always have been the most essential gun in the game. Why, then, can’t we put snipers where shotguns used to be?

I believe that this small change would drastically improve the looting system in Fortnite. We can go for rocket launchers too, but these serve more of a purpose than snipers. I’m not getting greedy. Let me know what you think in the comments.
