Ninja is far from finished competing in Fortnite esports. His new Fortnite Champion Series squad is official, and it’s one that can make some noise.

Tyler “Ninja” Blevins might have lost the moniker of the biggest Fortnite streamer, but he has transcended the gaming space in a way that no other streamer has before.

Ninja made a name for himself as a professional Halo player. He then went on to compete in battle royales like H1Z1 and PUBG. As everyone likely knows, he was an early adopter to Fortnite and eventually became the largest streamer to ever go live.

Throughout all of this, Ninja continued to compete. Success clearly wasn’t enough for him. When it was all said and done, Ninja wanted to win.

Viewers saw Ninja continue to grind, get better, and compete in the biggest Fortnite tournaments Epic ever hosted. He even narrowly missed a World Cup Qualification spot with Reverse2k.

With the Fortnite Champion Series around the Corner, Ninja has an official squad that will once again compete at the highest level. He’ll be playing with Funk Bomb, Nate Hill and, his duo partner, Reverse2k.

Funk, Nate Hill, Ninja, and Reverse are some of the biggest names in Fortnite. The two duo teams are combining to make a formidable squad, and it will be interesting to see how they perform in the FCS.

There was some talk of Ninja being dropped from the squad – or at least a squad with Reverse2k. Ninja, Reverse, and TimtheTatman sparred over Reverse dropping Ninja for younger pro players.

Most of this banter was in jest, and the recent revelation shows that Ninja is still on the team. The community has always seemed to have a Jekyll and Hyde opinion of Ninja. He was seen as overrated for a time, then surprisingly underrated when it became trendy to doubt his skill.

Ninja is one of the best players in the world, and it will be easy to root for him, Reverse, Funk, and Nate as they compete against the likes of Team Liquid, Tfue and Cloak’s new squad, and all of the cracked teenagers who have been dominating competitive Fortnite.
