Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins announced on August 27 that he signed with Adidas, and he talked to Complex about a month later about the partnership while shopping for new sneakers.

The entire video game community exploded in excitement when Ninja teamed up with world-wide rapping sensation Drake, Pittsburgh Steelers’ JuJu Smith-Schuster and Travis Scott for a few games of Fortnite on March 15, 2018.

Over a year later, Ninja rode the wave of playing with Drake to accomplish huge milestones like hosting Ninja Vegas, appearing in a Super Bowl commercial, and playing against JuJu Smith-Schuster on Celebrity Family Feud.

On August 27, Ninja released a video announcing his partnership with Adidas where he will have his own exclusive line of merchandise and sneakers, which are currently in development.

While the Illinois-native has not revealed much information behind his line of Adidas x Ninja partnership, he talked in-depth about the deal alongside Complex.

On September 30, Ninja was alongside Joe La Puma from Complex as they talked about the gamer’s rise to fame, his favorite types of sneakers, and what is next for the superstar.

While picking out a couple of pairs of shoes, Ninja was excited to talk about Jimmy Fallon’s high praise of considering him the “Michael Jordan of Gaming” and being able to see Jordan play live with the Chicago Bulls.

“To leave that type of legacy is exactly what I want to do with gaming.” Ninja ended with a sly smile and saying, “It’s the goal.”

By the end of the episode, he walked out with 11 pairs of shoes to perfectly match his Adidas x Ninja jacket.
