Fortnite Battle Royale helped Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins skyrocket to fame, and now his latest step forward in his career has him teaming with shoe and clothing designer Adidas.
March 15, 2018, will always be a date Ninja will remember as it was the day his online career truly began to reach a level that nobody in the esports industry could fathom.
Over 600,000 thousand people tuned in to Ninja’s Twitch stream as he played Fortnite Battle Royale with rapper Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham. The pair were eventually joined by Pittsburgh Steelers’ JuJu Smith-Schuster and rapper Travis Scott.
With it being over a year since that wonderful night, and now the Illinois-born content creator is planning on expanding his brand by striking a deal with Microsoft’s live streaming platform, Mixer.
Mixer x Ninja
Ninja first hinted at his announcement on July 31 with a short video showing him walking up to a podium with a number of microphones, seemingly preparing to give a press statement. The video ends with the date of “August 1”.
At approximately 10:34 am ET, he tweeted a simple “2 hours 11 minutes”, hinting that his announcement will drop at 12:45 pm ET.
Like clockwork, on the expected time, Ninja announced that he would be leaving the platform of Twitch and live streaming exclusively on Mixer.

A few minutes later after enjoying the hype, he posted a short video explaining that his content would remain the same and is excited to get back to his “streaming roots”.
Ninja’s first stream on Mixer will be on Friday, August 2 at 7 pm ET / 4 pm PT.
Ninja’s incredible online presence
Even though the 28-year-old had a record-breaking 2018, Ninja’s online presence continues to grow.
As of writing, he has over 4.5 million followers on Twitter, 14.7 million Twitch followers, and 22 million subscribers on YouTube. As of writing, his Mixer channel has over 3,000 followers and continues to rise.
In an interview with CNBC, Ninja explained how he grew to earn over $500,000 each month due to his online brand.
