Two of Fortnite’s most popular content creators, Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff and Ali ‘SypherPK’ Hassan talked about their decision to hire a professional coach on September 3 to help guide them through the competitive landscape.

FaZe Clan’s NICKMERCS has played alongside SypherPK since the beginning of Fortnite esports. In fact, the duo won the first week of Keemstar’s Friday Fortnite event back in 2018.

Fortnite esports are here to stay as Epic continues to support the community by offering weekly tournaments and multi-million dollar events like the Fortnite World Cup.

With thousands of new competitors entering the space, NICKMERCS and SypherPK made the decision to hire one of the most successful professional Fortnite coaches, Hugh ‘Destiny’ Gilmour, to help with their competitive strategies.

Destiny helped coach the Fortnite World Cup Solo winner, Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf to victory where the 16-year-old walked away with $3 million.

While streaming on Twitch, NICKMERCS and SypherPK made the announcement that they hired Destiny to help with their rotations and other strategies.

“He [Destiny] goes over VODs with us and tells us the mistakes we are making”. The FaZe Clan member continued one with, “Bro, we were using Impulses all wrong, we were rotating all wrong, we were building all wrong.”

The duo also stated that they are going to continue on with coaching sessions alongside Destiny to help up their competitive game.

We look forward to seeing NICKMERCS and SypherPK dominate the esports and content creation space, and hopefully, a coach will take them to new heights!
