The next three weeks of Fortnite Chapter 2 Overtime challenges have been leaked, as well as the skins you’ll get for completing them.
Fortnite v11.40 released today, which means there were several cosmetic leaks to sift through. Three of the leaks were variants rather than new skins, and they corresponded to the Overtime challenges we’ll be seeing in the next few weeks.
We don’t know the order of these challenges just yet. All we know is that we’ll get one of them for each of the next three weeks. The challenges will give us unlockable styles for Chic, 8-Ball, and Rippley.
Rippley vs. Sludge
Most of these challenges are relatively straightforward. You can easily destroy ten SLURP barrels by landing in Slurpy Swamp – but you have to be careful of enemies. You can use this opportunity to visit Slurpy and Lazy Lake in the same match.
Swimming 50 meters in under 5 seconds may be easier than it sounds – we’ll have to wait and see when these challenges go live.
We’ll make sure to have a guide for you, as well as a guide that covers the hidden gnome location. The challenges will reward you with a purple Rippley variant, which you can see below.
This one was a no-brainer when we saw the purple Remedy vs. Toxin variant. I can’t wait to rock the purple Sludgehammer pickaxe
8-Ball vs. Scratch
The 8-Ball vs Scratch Overtime challenges are shaping up to be downright annoying. We’ll have to ring doorbells with opponents, which is a recycled and difficult challenge from Season 9 or 10. It sounds easier than it is – you’ll hardly ever think about it when you’re in such a situation.
Nearly every one of these challenges is going to require a guide. We’ll gather the info for you, but you’ll have to really want this gold 8-Ball variant to grind through all of these.
This one is nothing special, in my opinion. The glitched version of the 8-Ball vs. Scratch skin looks a lot better, and most players should be able to reach level 300 with all of this additional XP.
Cameo vs. Chic
These challenges fall somewhere in between Rippley and 8-Ball when it comes to difficulty. You’ll be able to complete most of them on your own but will need to make a few special trips to get them all.
These gnomes are going to be pesky during the Overtime season. We’ll make sure to find them for you so you don’t have to do too much digging.
The yellow Chic variant is a decent upgrade. Chic is my favorite Season 1 skin, but I think I prefer the regular style. We’ll have to wait and see when these go live.
Which is your favorite Overtime variant? Let us know in the comments.
