FaZe member and pro player Nate Hill showcased his skills with a world’s first pickaxe trick shot in Fortnite.

When most people think of Fortnite trick shots, they think of high-flying rocket-riding sniper shots, no scopes while falling from max-height, or even a drop-down shotgun blast after several spins and pickaxe swings.

Fortnite inherently lends itself to meme plays and trick shots. Epic have added several items to the game that seem to serve no purpose other than generating cool clips from the community. Looking at you Chiller Grenade.

Most of the time, you’re not thinking of a single pickaxe swing as a trick shot. FaZe pro Nate Hill showed us how wrong we were during a recent stream with a single swing that has to be put into the trick shot category.

Nate was playing the low-ground in a 1v1 at the end of a Fortnite match. He broke the structure and forced his opponent to fall, turned around, and swung. Even he was surprised when he hit the pickaxe swing for the win.

Using a pickaxe to kill an opponent in Fortnite is traditionally a sign of disrespect. You’re telling them that you’re not worried about them killing you. They couldn’t even kill you if you had no weapons in your inventory.

This clip, though, might be the most skilled use of the pickaxe that has ever been seen in Fortnite. The other player can’t even be that mad about getting styled-on like this. The bar has been raised. Let’s see if any other streamer can pull off a play like this one.
