Major structure in Fortnite’s Pleasant Park mysteriously destroyed

Published

on

Pleasant Park has remained much the same since the beginning of Fortnite Battle Royale until now. A key structure in the “peaceful” neighborhood has been demolished by unknown means.

The Fortnite map has been slowly getting assaulted by unknown methods in recent weeks. Polar Peak felt a blow to its scenery, Snobby Shores’ houses lost a member, and now Pleasant Park is feeling the heat.

These events may or may not be connected to the upcoming Cattus event. Due to a reduction in leaks, it’s hard to tell what’s causing these disasters.

Pleasant Park’s ‘Modern House’ destroyed

The general infrastructure of the Park has remained largely the same throughout Fortnite’s BR history. Minor changes have been made here and there, but nothing major…until now.

The modern house of Pleasant has been obliterated through unknown means. According to images from FortniteMaster, the long standing structure no longer stands.

Epic Games has not given any explanation for the destruction of the building, but this is to be expected. The developer is not often keen to reveal too much before the climax of an upcoming event.

This turn of events is probably related to the other building ‘alterations’ in the past few weeks. Polar Peak saw its tower take a hit and Snobby Shores also had some similar damage.

Snobby Shores after building damage

From what we can gather, these happenings are somehow tied to the coming of the Cattus event. “Cattus” is the name given to the monster stuck in the iceberg.

It is still unknown when we can expect this event to occur and its becoming increasingly hard to get verifiable leaks.

The ‘Cattus’ is coming in the near or not-so near future

As soon as we have more information about the meaning behind these events, we’ll let you know. Be sure to follow us at @FortniteINTEL to stay up-to-date on all thing Fortnite.

Fortnite’s Battle Lab mode has been disabled in the v16.30 patch, and fans aren’t happy with its removal.

UPDATE: The Battle Labs mode has been turned back on as of May 4th, 2021.

Battle Lab was added in December of 2019 close to the start of Fortnite Chapter 2. This core game mode replaced the Playground mode which allowed players to explore The Island alone or with friends.

While Playground was mostly a vanilla battle royale experience, Battle Lab allowed players to set their own rules and change loot pools. Video editors would use Battle Lab to produce high-quality content, and it also allowed younger players to enjoy the game without allowing them to play with strangers.

However, Fortnite’s Battle Lab mode has seemingly disappeared in the latest update without any word from Fortnite or Epic Games. This has led to an outcry from fans on Twitter who are asking for the game mode to be reinstated.

Downtime for the Fortnite v16.30 started at 4 a.m. EST on April 27, and shortly after the servers came back online players started to notice Battle Lab was missing. The Fortnite Status Twitter made various posts noting the changes made in the update, but Battle Lab wasn’t mentioned a single time.

Over the past 24 hours, Fortnite Status has also acknowledged various bug fixes and server issues. While it remains unknown whether Fortnite’s Battle Lab mode was removed by accident, the lack of acknowledgment makes it seem as if it were removed intentionally.

The removal of Battle Lab won’t affect the majority of Fortnite’s player base, it will have an impact on content creators. As stated by Frenzy2nd on Twitter, it would be ideal for Fortnite to let players know what its plans are for the future of Battle Lab.

In the meantime, there are still plenty of modes available for players to enjoy. These include the new Free For All Arena mode, One Shot duos, and an assortment of featured Creative modes. Stay tuned for the latest information regarding Fortnite’s Battle Lab mode.

Fortnite revealed the upcoming May 2021 Crew Pack which comes with a membership exclusive skin, the game’s original Save The World mode, and Spotify Premium.

Epic Games introduced the Fortnite Crew Subscription service during Chapter 2 Season 5. For $11.99 USD a month players would receive an exclusive skin set, 1,000 V-Bucks, and instant access to the current season’s Battle Pass.

As Fortnite has continued the service, it has also sweetened the deal by including memberships to other subscription services like Disney+. For the month of May, subscribers are being offered more for their money than ever before.

The May Fortnite Crew Pack will offer the Deimos skin set which comes with a pickaxe, back bling, and weapon wrap. This also includes Deimos’ green skin variants and a loading screen background. Fortnite’s Deimos is a modernized depiction of the Greek god of dread.

Deimos will also be introduced as a playable character in Fortnite’s original Save The World game mode. Fortnite launched in 2017 with only the Save The World mode but was popularized when the Battle Royale mode launched a few months later. May Fortnite Crew members will also gain permanent access to Save The World.

Subscribers are also being offered three months of Spotify Premium for free. However, this offer is only available to new Spotify Premium customers. Existing or previous customers will have to create a new account if they want to redeem this offer. The offer expires on June 30, 2021 at 8 p.m. EST.

The May Crew membership comes with the normal monthly benefits such as access to the Battle Pass and 1,000 V-Bucks. Epic Games stated that every Thursday during the month of May, Fortnite Crew members would receive special in-game bonuses.

While the weekly benefits remain a mystery, it will be interesting to see what Fortnite has in store for players. The May Fortnite Crew pack is offering the best deal yet and weekly challenges/rewards will only add more value. We’ll keep you posted about the weekly Crew bonuses whenever they’re announced.

Justin Jefferson will be the first-ever NFL player to be featured in Fortnite with the addition of his own Icon Series emote and Locker Bundle.

The Minnesota Vikings’ wide receiver Justin Jefferson is known for celebrating touchdowns with the iconic Griddy Dance. Fortnite players will be able to style on their opponents with the official emote. Fortnite has also taken this crossover one step further by giving Jefferson his own Locker Bundle.

Fortnite has a ton of emotes inspired by viral videos or online trends. There are also various emotes made in collaboration with internet personalities, movies, and other video games. However, specific athletic superstars are just now starting to be featured in Fortnite.

With the addition of pro footballer Neymar Jr., sports icons are finding their place in Fortnite. Now, American football player Justin Jefferson follows Neymar’s lead by blazing a trail for other athletes.

Fortnite announced Jefferson’s crossover emote alongside his official Locker Bundle, which comes with the emote. The bundle also includes the Hit Man outfit and back bling, Weathered Gold pickaxe, Arcade Kid wrap, and Signature Shuffle emote. The bundle and emote will land in Fortnite’s Item Shop on April 28 ahead of the NFL Draft.

The Get Griddy Fortnite emote is a traversal emote, meaning players will be able to move just like Justin Jefferson when he’s cruising into the end zone. It also features the song Right Foot Creep by YoungBoy Never Broke Again.

Despite this crossover featuring Justin Jefferson, Fortnite does note in an official release that the Griddy Dance was created in 2017 by Allen “Griddy” Davis, a former high school football player. Some fans are disappointed that long-time Fortnite fan and NFL wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster wasn’t chosen to be featured.

Regardless, the Justin Jefferson Get Griddy emote will be a very sporty addition to any player’s locker. Adding athletic superstars to Fortnite’s massive roster of crossovers pushes the game one step closer to becoming Donald Mustard’s metaverse.
