Liquid Stretch & Teeq win NAE and EU DreamHack Open tournaments

Here are your final standings for the NAE and EU regions of the DreamHack Open Fortnite competition.

Fortnite Season 3 looked to be the most active season of competitive Fortnite in recent memory – possibly ever. At the beginning of the season, we were set to have Ninja Battles, the DreamHack Open, daily Cash Cups, and the FNCS Solos competition to take us into Season 4. Ninja Battles is now on hiatus after Mixer’s shutdown, but the rest of the events are proceeding as scheduled.

This past weekend, we saw the biggest names in two of the most popular professional Fortnite regions, NA-East and EU, square off for their share of a $1.75 million prize pool. Ahead, we’ll give a quick recap of the competition as well as the top-ten finishers for each of the two regions.

NA-East results

NA-East saw Team Liquid’s Stretch take home the win with 446 points. Interestingly, Stretch was able to win the finals without winning a single game. His 19 eliminations and placement points were enough to earn him the victory.

FaZe Clan’s Dubs came in a close second with one more elimination and a win. He wasn’t able to keep up the same consistency in placement points that Stretch did, which is why he finished with only 392 points. Other popular names within the top ten include BuckeFPS at fifth and ZexRow at seventh.

BenjyFishy showed-out on high ping in the NA-East region, finishing at 28, three spots below Bugha at 25 and nearly 20 spots ahead of Clix at 41.

EU Results

Speaking of BenjyFishy, the NRG pro finished sixth in his home region, netting him a pretty penny for a few hours of Fortnite this weekend. The region’s winner was Teeq, followed by fan-favorite and 100T player MrSavage. The former won the competition on the back of placement points while MrSavage showed his skill with a whopping three kills per game and 24 overall eliminations.

Rounding out the top ten we have Grizi Snayzy, KamiFN, MerijnFreeze, BenjyFishy, TaySon, Decyptos, Anas, and Gambit Toose. Most of the other household names in EU, such as Mongraal, Crr, and Wolfiez, finished outside of the top 40.

The DreamHack Open will return this weekend for the NA-West region. You can tune into the official broadcast of the qualifiers, semi-finals, and finals starting on Friday, June 24. See you there!

How to visit different Witch Shacks for Forntitemares Challenge

Here are all of the Witch Shack locations for the Fortnitemares 2020 challenges.

We’re a week into the Fortnitemares 2020 event and the challenges are still rolling along. We have another week to finish these challenges before the event is over, but that’s plenty of time to unlock all of the new cosmetics.

Today, October 27, the final challenges of the event unlocked for players to complete. One of these challenges requires you to visit three different Witch Shacks, scattered around the map. These also provide players with the Witch Brooms you’ll need for an earlier challenge.

The reward for completing this particular challenge is a pickaxe, so it’s worth your time – especially if you know where to go.

By our count, there are seven Witch Shacks on the Fortnite map – each in a different region. You’ll find one North of Doom’s Domain, Southeast of Steamy Stacks, on the western coast of Sweaty Sands, just north of Salty Springs, off the coast of Catty Corner, and South of Slurpy Swamp.

If you want to do this challenge as quickly as possible, we suggest jumping into a game of Team Rumble and visiting the three shacks on the western portion of the map. This shouldn’t be too difficult with Glider Re-Deploy.

Here’s a map of all of the Witch Shack locations for your reference.

The rest of the Fortnitemares challenges should be straightforward, but most of them won’t be possible in Team Rumble. You’re going to need to fight for Midas at The Ruins to Eliminate him – a tall task while fighting players, Shadows, and henchmen. Good Luck!

Fortnite Season 4 Week 10 Challenge guide

Fortnite Season 4 Week 10 is here. These are all of the challenges you need to complete.

Published

on

Fortnite Season 4 is winding down, with the 10th week of challenges about to go live. You’ll have a lot on your plate, this week, when you combine all of the weekly challenges with the final week of Fortnitemares 2020.

The challenges for Season 4 Week 10 are relatively easy. As usual, we’ll be collecting materials, eliminating players, and driving from point A to point B – this time in a boat. Here are all of the Season 4 Week 10 Fortnite challenges:

  • Search Chests at Upstate New York
  • Eliminations at Lazy Lake
  • Collect Metal from Slurpy Swamp
  • Catch fish at Heart Lake
  • Eliminate opponents by hitting them with vehicles
  • Drive a boat from The Fortilla to The Authority in less than 4 minutes
  • Ride 20,000 meters in a vehicle
  • Deal damage to opponents at Sentinel Graveyard

We’re going to be getting into some road rage this week while we hit opponents with a car. This one is going to be fun. you have the best chance of completing this one by landing at Stark Industries, hopping into a car, and slamming into the people who land with you.

At first glance, we weren’t sure where Upstate New York or Heart Lake was. As it turns out, these two places are one and the same. Upstate New York is the massive chunk of land that’s home to Stark Industries. Heart Lake is the lake in the center of it.

Now that you know where to go for the Upstate New York and Heart Lake challenges, the rest of these should be as easy as playing a few challenge-focused games.

If you don’t already know, Sentinel Graveyard refers to the wide-open space in the hills, south of The Authority (The Ruins, right now). This isn’t usually a hotbed of activity, but it will probably see more action for the first few days after the challenges come out.

Hopefully, these challenges will bring you closer to unlocking all of the Season 4 foil skins, which might be the best-looking “enlightened” skins we’ve seen. Good luck!

Epic Games teaser points to future Fortnite X G.I. Joe crossover

Epic Games Creative Director, Donald Mustard, has hinted at a future Fortnite X G.I. Joe crossover.

Fortnite crossovers have taken on a new life in 2020. We’re past the point of one-off crossovers and are experiencing a world that’s now permanently intertwined with the Marvel Universe. What Epic have done with Fortnite is nothing short of impressive.

Donald Mustard, the Epic Games Creative Director and one of the primary minds behind the clash of Marvel and Fortnite, has appeared on multiple platforms, lately, including a Zoom call stream with Geoff Keighley of The Game Awards.

Their conversation didn’t give too much away about the future of Fortnite, but the background of Mustard’s side of the call, apparently, did. After the call ended, Donald Mustard tweeted that there were “clues to future stuff I’ve hidden into the background of my ‘wfh’ space.”

Fortnite fans heard this news and sprung into action, digging through the discussion frame-by-frame. One of the first clues found was the Snake Eyes action figure from G.I. Joe.

Snake Eyes is one of the most popular characters from the G.I. Joe franchise, and he could be the only character from that universe that we see in the game. On the other hand, it could be a red herring and distracting us from a subtler clue that has yet to be discovered.

This was, likely, not the only spoiler that was included in Donald Mustard’s background – it’s just the only one that’s been found, so far. Redditors are still sifting through the interview to see if they can find anything else.

A G.I. Joe crossover would make sense in the future, but probably not in the middle of a Marvel-themed season. We saw the Ghostbusters come to the game this part week, but those fit the Halloween theme. G.I. Joe and Snake Eyes will probably wait for Season 5.
