The second week of the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers kicks off on Saturday, April 20, and will feature the first week of duo play.
Fortnite competitive players from different regions around the world will be dropping into Fortnite Battle Royale in order to get a shot at the $30 million prize pool.
There will be ten weeks of qualifiers, with $1 million available for the top participants.
The Fortnite World Cup will be from July 26-28 and held in New York!
When does the Fortnite World Cup Online Opens begin?
Just like the first week of the Online Qualifiers, each region will have from 4 pm – 7 pm, local time, in order to complete ten games.
The first region being shown on stream will be Europe.
Here is the full schedule:
- Oceania: 4 pm – 7 pm AET
- Asia: 4 pm – 7 pm JST
- Europe: 4 pm – 7 pm GMT
- Brazil: 4 pm – 7 pm BRT
- NA East: 4 pm – 7 pm EDT
- NA West: 4 pm – 7 pm PDT
Where do you watch the Fortnite World Cup Online Opens?
April 20th kicks off the first week of duo play for the Fortnite World Cup Online Opens.
Duo players who have qualified for the Online Opens will have ten games to try to score the highest amount of points possible.
As always, you can tune in to each personalities stream in order to see their in-game view.
Players can tune in to Fortnite’s official Twitch stream which will have a casters desk and scoring updates:
What is the format for duos?
Participants will have a three-hour window in order to complete ten games.
The top 3,000 duos will be awarded a spot in April 21st duo finals.
The best duos from different regions will be rewarded a spot in the Fortnite World Cup in July:
- Oceania: 0
- Asia: 0
- Europe: 4
- Brazil: 0
- NA East: 3
- NA West: 1
The rules for week two follow the similar format that was used for week one’s solo play:
- Victory Royale: 10 Points
- 2nd-5th: 7 Points
- 6th-15th: 5 Points
- 16th-25th: 3 Points
- Elimination: 1 Point
