The time is almost here for yet another Fortnite Battle Royale event, and we have all the information you need to watch the ‘Final Showdown’.
Fortnite’s latest in-game event is taking place today, July 20, at around 2 pm ET / 11 am PT.
During the duration of Season 9, there has been a mysterious monster within Polar Peak‘s glacier where the creature eventually broke out and started to destroy structures around the Fortnite map.
As a way to defend the island against the monster, there has been a huge robot constructed in Pressure Plant where it is expected the two brutes are expected to fight off.
Final Showdown LTM
Season 8’s unvaulted event temporarily dropped all players into an LTM where fans could safely watch and interact with the voting process, which unvaulted the Drum Gun.
On July 13, countdown timers began to appear above all Sky Platforms which was the first true hint we had that the robot and Polar Peak monster would finally face off in battle.

According to Fortnite leaker FortTory, there will be a special LTM so players can participate in the Final Showdown.
One picture points out that players will “take to the skies and find cover on sky platforms”, so maybe fans will get an eagle-eyed view of the event?
Earlier in the week, the Pressure Plant robot’s construction was complete. The robot has different parts of its body dedicated to different Fortnite-themed skins or locations around the game.
Judging by the size of the mecha robot in Pressure Plant, we expect the fight to cause a ton of destruction.
