The weekend of June 15 to June 16 is pack full of Fortnite shenanigans as Epic is holding the Fortnite Summer Block Party in Inglewood, California which includes the Creative Showdown and Pro-Am.

The Fortnite Pro-Am is returning for a second year which puts 50 duos of celebrities and Fortnite personalities up against each other.

Each team is fighting for a slice of the massive $3,000,000 prize pool which all goes towards charitable causes.

Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins and DJ Marshmello won the event last year, so who will talk away with the Victory Royale in 2019?

Format

The format of the event isn’t exactly known, but so far everything for the Fortnite Pro-Am followed in 2018 seems to be remaining the same for this year.

We do know, however, the prize splits. Each team gets to donate their winnings to the charity of their choice.

  • 1st: $1,000,000
  • 2nd: $500,000
  • 3rd: $250,000
  • 4th: $100,000
  • 5th: $80,000
  • 6th: $70,000
  • 7th: $60,000
  • 8th: $50,000
  • 9th: $40,000
  • 10th: $30,000
  • 11th-50th: $20,000

Schedule

The last day of the Summer Block Party, June 16, will feature the Fortnite Pro-Am event which is slated to kick off around 5 pm ET / 2 pm PT.

As always, fans can tune into the official Fortnite stream to check out the tournament if they are unable to attend in person.

Teams

The Fortnite Pro-Am will feature 50 duos which will have one Fortnite personality and one celebrities teaming up.

Some of the most prominent Fortnite stars on the list of participants are Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins, Jack ‘CourageJD’ Dunlop, Tim ‘Timthetatman’, Vikram ‘Vikkstar123’, and Nick Eh 30.

Unfortunately, Jack ‘Cizzorz’ is expected to miss the event due to sickness. We hope he gets well soon!
