How to get the new Mythic items in Fortnite Season 5

Fortnite Season 5 introduced new Mythic weapons and items to the game. Here’s where you can find them.

Fortnite Season 5 is out now, and you know what that means: new Mythics. Here’s where you can find them.

Mythic items and weapons are a hot topic in the Fortnite world. Some people love them, and others have hated the idea since way back in the Infinity Blade days.

Season 5 was released with only one known Mythic item and two Mythic weapons, although that may change in the future. For now, it appears as though most of the Battle Pass characters are carrying weapons of a new rarity: Exotic.

Let’s start with the Mandalorian, as he is the first Mythic boss that players discovered in the early hours of the patch.

Fortnite Mandalorian Location

You can find The Mandalorian patrolling his crashed ship on the western edge of the desert biome, south of Colossal Coliseum. He’ll be carrying his sniper rifle and jetpack – both of which are worth grabbing once you eliminate him.

The sniper isn’t too special, apart from its thermal vision and ability to deal melee damage. The real prize is Mando’s jetpack, which allows you to aim-down-sights while flying in the air. We expect to see a ton of trickshots coming out of this one.

Consequently, this is also the location you need to visit to complete the “Open a Razer Chest” quest. If you’re alone – which isn’t likely at this stage of the game – you can kill two birds with one oversized Sniper Rifle.

Fortnite Ruckus Location

After a few days of playing, fans discovered that The Mandalorian wasn’t the only boss in Fortnite. As it turns out, Ruckus is patrolling Hydro 16 armed with a Mythic AK – straight from Chapter 2 Season 2.

Hydro 16 – for those who don’t know – is the building beneath the dam to the east of Slurpy Swamp.

Ruckus doesn’t seem to spawn right away, either. You can land here, loot up, deal with any enemy players, and fight Ruckus for his loot.

Ruckus Fortnite location

For now, these are the only known Mythic items in Fortnite. We assume that the other Battle Pass characters will join Mando in Hunter’s Haven, Colossal Coliseum, and Stealthy Stronghold, but they aren’t available just yet.

We’ll continue to update this post as more bosses, and Mythic abilities come to Fortnite. For now, we wish you luck grabbing these Mythics without getting sniped.

Fortnite Season 6 leaked weapons

The Fortnite v16.20 update brought the Mythic Spire Assassin’s Recycler to Fortnite Season 6. Here’s how to get it.

We’re only a few weeks into Fortnite Season 6 and have already seen the meta shift several times. The most recent v16.20 update added a new Mythic item to the game for the first time since Season 6 began: the Spire Assassin’s Recycler.

The gun actually replaced the Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun, which was widely considered to be overpowered by the bulk of the community. The Recycler, a new weapon, hasn’t found its position in the meta just yet. We’ll have to see if the new mythic version changes that at all.

As was the case with the Primal Shotgun before it, you can find the Mythic Recycler at The Spire. The Assassin who patrols the center of the map now carries this weapon instead of a shotgun.

This is still the location of the Mythic Jumpboots, but you need to eliminate a Guardian before heading to the spire to cash in.

The Mythic version of the Recycler does 86 damage with no headshot multiplier. It has the same clip size, making it far less of an attraction than the Mythic Primal Shotgun was.

With new items constantly being added to Fortnite, it will be interesting to see whether or not the Mythic item held by the Spire Assassin will change once again. If it does, we’ll be sure to update you.

Fortnite Season 6 Mythic Spire Assassin Shotgun

Fortnite Season 6 brought a couple of Mythic items back to the game. One of those is the Spiral Assassin’s Primal Shotgun. Here’s how to get it.

UPDATE 4/13: The Fortnite v16.20 patch has replaced the Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun with the Spire Assassin’s Recycler.

Epic Games made a ton of changes in Fortnite Season 6. They significantly shook-up the weapon meta, added a new crafting system, changed the map, and a lot more that players are still exploring this week.

One of the new weapons that were added in Season 6 was the Primal Shotgun. This new shotgun replaced the Tac from previous seasons but works more like a two-shot Drum Shotgun than a Tac.

Some players don’t know that you can get a Mythic version of this weapon. Here’s how.

Fortnite Spire Assassin

Mythic Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun

Guardians are located at each of the spires around the map. All of them carry Primal weapons and are extremely dangerous if you don’t have the weaponry or shields to eliminate them.

Only one of these Guardians carries the Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun, however, and they can be found at The Spire in the center of the map.

The Spire Assassin patrols this area, carrying the Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun. She can spawn anywhere in this location, so keep your head on a swivel if you land here.

To get the Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun, you’ll need to:

  • Land at The Spire
  • Fend off enemy players
  • Eliminate the Spire Assassin
  • Pick up the Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun

The Spire is a hot drop – as the center of the map always has been – so this is going to be a contested area for the length of Season 6. This is also the location of the Mythic Jumpboots, but you have to do a bit more work to get them.

So far, the Spire Assassin’s Primal Shotgun is one of only two Mythic items in Fortnite. We’ll keep you posted if Epic decide to add more to the game.

How to get Chonkers off-road tires in Fortnite Season 6

The Fortnite Season 6 v16.20 update brought Chonkers off-road tires to the game. Here’s where you can get them.

Fortnite Chonkers Tires

The Fortnite v16.20 patch introduced Chonkers off-road tires to Fortnite Season 6. Here’s how to get them and what they will do.

Vehicle mods have been teased for Fortnite since the beginning of Season 6. Even before that, data miners found them in the game files, so fans have known about some sort of mod for a while.

Finally, in v16.20, we saw our first vehicle mod come to Fortnite in the form of Chonkers off-road tires. We expect to see more of these come to the game in the future.

These tires, as the name suggests, will make off-roading a whole lot faster. They will impact different cars more than others, with the truck getting the most benefit from them. As a bonus, these tires allow you to scale steep surfaces you’d otherwise need to climb with ramps.

How to get Chonkers off-road tires

Chonkers tires spawn all over the map, but mostly in gas stations and garages. You can find them on the floor in these locations, or by breaking stacks of tires. Yes, that means the tires that you can bounce on.

This update also saw Sparkplug added to Catty Corner. She’ll be one of the better NPCs going forward, as she sells mechanical parts and offers weapon upgrades to players.

  • Land at the southern garage in Catty Corner
  • Enter the garage and fins Sparkplug
  • Look around for tires that spawn on the ground
  • Grab them and throw them on the closest car.

These tires aren’t too much of a game-changer, with their biggest benefit being the ability to traverse steep cliffs.

This won’t be the last vehicle mod we see added to Fortnite, however. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled when the next patch releases to see what else Epic have in store for the future of Fortnite Season 6.
