Epic Games is continuing its Battle Breakers promotion by offering the Kurohomura hero for free to Fortnite players. Here’s how to unlock it.
Epic’s latest creation is a free-to-play mobile RPG called Battle Breakers. The turn-based game gives shades of Pokemon games, where you build your squad and face challengers in an arena to progress.
Battle Breakers is quite fun for a mobile game, but it isn’t close to as popular as Fortnite. Fortnite is the biggest game in the world as well as a promotional juggernaut for any other title under the Epic Games umbrella. At this point, it would be silly not to involve Fortnite when promoting Epic’s other games.
We saw this as soon as Battle Breakers came out. Epic announced that they would release the Razor hero in Save the World to players who reached level 20 in Battle Breakers.
Epic is continuing the promotion for Save the World players who have been grinding Battle Breakers. Now, you’ll be able to unlock the Kurohomura hero in Save the World when you reach level 50.
All you have to do is log into Battle Breakers with the same Epic account that’s linked to Fortnite. Once you reach level 50, you’ll unlock Kurohomura in Save the World.
The release of Kurohomura in Save the World should be a preview for its eventual inclusion in Battle Royale. We saw the same thing with Razor when Epic gave it away for STW players.
Data miners also found files for the Kurohomura BR skin a while back. We can expect the character to enter the item shop as an uncommon or rare skin. Epic will probably do its best to keep these crossover skins cheap as a promotional tactic.
If Kurohomura does come to Battle Royale: cop or drop? Let us know in the comments.
