Spawn rushers in Zone Wars can be annoying, but there is a strong way to counter them that will leave them wishing they never came after you.
The new Fortnite Zone Wars mode has been met with a lot of excitement, with many players hoping it sticks around for the long haul.
It’s an excellent way to learn the game and have fun while doing it. You’ll be able to learn building and shooting mechanics pretty quickly here, which is what players want this mode to stick around for.
However, there can be some annoyances that occur in the game mode, such as being rushed in your spawn. If you’re quick on your feet, you can actually counter this quite effectively.
Reddit user Kaksjs showed how easy it is to stop someone from running right into your spawn and it involves a floor trap coupled with a roof.
All you’ll have to do is drop the spike trap down and keep it covered. When the player breaks open the spawn area and walks on top of the roof, just edit it out and let the trap do its work.
In case you wanted a more visual representation of this, you can take a look at the video below.
Of course, this method will completely rely on your spawn being rushed. For example, if everyone is doing this same thing, it won’t be very effective at all.
You’ll eventually be forced to leave the spawn as the storm closes in so don’t expect to nab multiple eliminations with this method.
It’s also important to know that this method doesn’t just work in Zone Wars, but you can also try it out in the regular game mode.
With so much of the meta relying on taking walls and rushing boxes, having a hidden floor trap could definitely come in handy and get you out of a sticky situation or two.
