Players have discovered that Epic Games have taken some inspiration from Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed with a new mechanic to avoid taking fall damage.
There’s a lot of new tips and tricks with this new ‘Chapter 2’ of Fortnite, most notably the addition of swimming and fishing, and the use of boats.
But, there’s still more being learned each day as the community explores the brand new map, and a trick with bushes has been found that will save you from the perils of fall damage.
These new large bushes can be spotted in various locations around the map, often conveniently placed below high drops.

If you want to make the most of them, you’ll want to channel your inner Assassin’s Creed and take a leap of faith – and aim for the bushes.
As shared by FNBRHQ, you will be able to jump from a significant height but take no damage whatsoever if you land in the sweet spot.
Anyone who has played the Assassin’s Creed series will instantly see the similarity here, as you are often required to dive into heaps of leaves, bushes or hay bales to survive high jumps in that game too.
This is just the latest in a series of hidden tips and tricks that players have been discovering – we’ve got six more that you may have missed right here.
A lot of this is thanks to the fact that Epic didn’t actually release any patch notes for the new season, instead just allowing everyone to jump in and discover everything themselves.
We’d still like to see some full patch notes at some point, but for now, it looks like we’ll just have to find out all these tricks the old fashioned way.
