A highly-requested change to the X-4 Stormwing Plane is set to be implemented by Epic Games.
Following various complaints from community members and Fortnite fans alike, Epic Games revealed that a major update will be added regarding player damage after an X-4 Stormwing plane is destroyed.
At the time of writing, players onboard an X-4 Stormwing take no damage after their plane is destroyed mid-air. This has led to some community members questioning whether or not a change should be added by the developer.
Eric Williamson, the Design Lead for Epic Games, revealed via Twitter that the studio has discussed adding a small amount of damage to players when a plane is destroyed. However, the exact amount is still being tested.

While the planes may not be ‘overpowered,’ per se, some community members have argued that players should face some sort of consequence after their plane has been destroyed.
