Every day of Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer event will unvault one item for 24 hours. The fourth day of the event saw the Crossbow being added back into Fortnite Battle Royale.
Epic Games has created a new mechanic by unvaulting a new weapon every day which switches up the game’s meta.
June 28 saw a brand new weapon being unvaulted for players to enjoy, and that weapon is the Crossbow.
Crossbow temporarily unvaulted
The Crossbow was originally added into Fortnite Battle Royale all the way back in Season 2 as a way to help celebrate Valentines. Epic gave the Crossbow a heart-themed skin for the holiday.
It was vaulted back in patch 4.0, but some fans have expressed that they would like to see the weapon again to help mix up the meta.
Even though the weapon does not deal a lot of damage, it is ideal as a beginner weapon since there is an unlimited amount of ammo for the bow.
There are two rarities for the Crossbow, Rare and Legendary.
Here are the weapon’s stats:
- Rarity: Rate/Legendary
- DPS: 45 / 47.4
- Damage: 75 / 79
- Fire rate: 0.6 seconds
- Magazine size: 5
- Reload time: 2.6 seconds / 2.5 seconds
- Structure damage: 1
