UPDATE: Fortnitemares has been re-enabled by Epic Games. The developer has also mentioned that some players may experience a higher ping as a result.

The ‘Fortnitemares’ in-game event has already been disabled by Epic Games.

After releasing during the V6.20 update on Wednesday, October 24, ‘Fortnitemares’ has reportedly caused various issues with matchmaking.

This led Epic Games to announce that the event will need to be disabled for an unknown period of time while they attempt to fix the issue.

You can view the original announcement below.

Fortnitemares was originally scheduled to take place between October 24 and November 26 in order to bring various Halloween-themed additions to the Battle Royale title. However, now that the in-game event has been disabled, it is unclear whether Fortnitemares will stick to the same schedule.
