Fortnitemares 2020 leaks: everything we know

Fortnitemares is just around the corner and these Fortnite leaks tell us what to expect.

Spooky season is here, which means it’s time for another Forntitemares event. The past couple of years have brought us husks, zombie jump-scares, and the Storm King LTM that gave BR players a taste of Save the World.

We can expect some similar events this season, along with the return of the annual Pumpkin Launcher from the vault. The v14.30 update activated some game files related to the Halloween festivities as well, and here’s what we learned about Fortnitemares 2020

New mobility item

One of the biggest leaks coming out of the v14.30 patch was what looks like a mobility item, similar to Silver Surfer’s Surfboard. According to Hypex, there are brooms in the game files along with a Broom Box – which could be the way to get them. We assume that we’ll be able to ride these like a witch

We don’t know exactly how to get our hands on the brooms or how they’ll work, but we’re guessing that they may be a thematic Mythic item for the Fortnitemares season – a Halloween replacement for Silver Surfer’s Surfboard. We’ll have to wait and see on this one.

New Consumables

Hypex also leaked several consumables that will be available in the Fortnitemares update. These seem like Fortnitemares reworks of existing consumables that you can find in fruit boxes. The Candy Corn will replace Corn, the Pepper Ming will replace the Pepper, the Jelly Bean will replace the Mushroom, and so on.

We also saw a “Candy Bucket,” which could be the replacement for Fruit Boxes in major POIs. Of course, this is only a guess. The Thermal Taffy is a new one, but we can all assume that this will have the same effect as a Thermal Flopper – not a very popular way to view the map.

Map changes

We’ve already seen some map changes come to Fortnite ahead of the Fortnitemares update. Buildings in Sweaty Sands, Retail Row, and other major POIs are now sporting Halloween decorations in time for the season.

The biggest change currently in the game has to be at the small Superstore POI outside of Holly Hedges. It’s transitioned into a Halloween store, complete with decorations and a new sign. Of course, we expect this to only be the start of what’s to come when Fortnitemares 2020 begins.

Zombie/Ghost Midas

We covered this topic last week, but it’s worth mentioning again. Rumors have it that Midas will return for Fortnitemares 2020, bringing some “Ghostly Ghost Henchmen” with him. Instead of a Drum Gun, Midas will, reportedly, be armed with a Gold Scar.

Naturally, we assumed that Midas would return to his old stomping grounds at The Authority (formerly, The Agency). This theory gained further credibility after the v14.30 update, when players noticed that Midas’ iconic golden chair is back at the Authority where it started.

We don’t know exactly when Fortnitemares 2020 will begin, but we can expect it to come into the game as early as this weekend. Of course, we’ll keep you updated with all of the map changes, challenges, and everything else related to the Fortnite Halloween update. Follow us on Twitter @FortniteINTEL so you never miss out.

Fortnite v21.20 early patch notes: Indiana Jones, No Sweat Summer, Luke Skywalker skin, more

Fortnite v21.20 is right around the corner. From Indiana Jones to new content for the 2022 No Sweat Summer event, there’s a lot to expect.

Indiana Jones, No Sweat Summer, and other content that should arrive in Fortnite v21.20

Fortnite is all set to release the 21.20 update on July 5, 2022. Indiana Jones will finally become available in the Battle Pass, No Sweat Summer content will arrive in Battle Royale modes, and as usual, the Reality Tree will continue to grow.

The community has sky-scraping expectations from Fortnite v21.20. Even though map changes have been frequent and brilliant in Chapter 3 Season 3, the No Sweat Summer event and the XP system (in terms of more opportunities to earn XP) certainly need improvement.

Here’s everything players can expect in the second major update for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3.

Fortnite Reality Tree to affect Condo Canyon, Sleepy Sound, and Temple Bloom in v21.10

First and foremost, the Reality Tree will reach major locations like Sleepy Sound. Loopers have discovered a new set of roots near Shifty Shafts and they’re most likely heading towards Sleepy.

Another location where we will see the influence of the Reality Tree is Condo Canyon. Interestingly, leakers have already revealed the upcoming themes. Like Butter Bloom and Logjam Lotus, Sleepy Sound and Condo Canyon will have recurring themes which include:

  • Froniter
  • Coliseum
  • Coral Castle
  • Neo Tillted for Sleepy Sound and Lazy Lagoon for Condo Canyon

There’s a Reality Root near the Temple Bloom landmark as well. HYPEX has revealed that one of the themes in Temple Bloom is codenamed The Tower in the files, and that’s the only information we have for now.

There’s a possibility that v21.20 only focuses on Condo Canyon and Sleepy Sound as the developers are yet to add the updated version of Temple Bloom in the files.

New Indiana Jones skin and temple to arrive in Fortnite v21.20

Indiana Jones is the secret skin in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 Battle Pass. It cannot be unlocked at the moment, and will be available from July 7, 2022. Loopers who own the Battle Pass wil have to complete special quests to unlock the cosmetics which include:

  • Indiana Jones outfit
  • Indiana Jones Banner Icon
  • Raider’s Relics Harvesting Tool
  • Rogue Archaology Wrap
  • Expedition Bag Back Bling

It is worth noting that these are the cosmetics on Page 1. These will not only become unlockable with v21.20, but you’ll also be able to get a look at the next page.

Even though this might be a stretch, but many players believe that Indiana Jones will get his own spawn location. The aforementioned Temple Bloom POI could turn into a temple dedicated for the Indiana Jones boss/NPC. However, readers must take this claim with a huge grain of salt.

New No Sweat Summer content coming to Fortnite Battle Royale

The Island Hopper quests were decent, but players were disappointed to see them as the only ‘summer event’ content. However, leakers like iFireMonkey and Epic Games itself have claimed that more summer content is coming.

NPcs like Unpeely, Summer Drift, and Boardwalk Ruby, and vehicles like Surfboards will return to BR modes. Moreover, you can look forward to completing summer-themed quests in Battle Royale that should grant XP and free cosmetics.

Battle Royale content will certainly help in making No Sweat Summer 2022 one of the best summer events in Fortnite’s history.

Luke Skywalker NPC

Epic Games has released a ton of Star-Wars content in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 which includes Darth Vader as a boss and his skin in the Battle Pass as a tier 100 reward. HYPEX has disclosed that there’s a Lightsaber in the files for a Luke NPC.

Based on the leak, it is safe to assume that Luke Skywalker will be released as an NPC and a skin, like this father. However, it is uncertain if he’ll be a part of the upcoming update.

Last but not least, weekly quests for Week 5/ Week 6 and Vibin’ quests will be added to files with Fortnite v21.20. There aren’t any solid leaks regarding weapons as we’ve already received three new weapons (Two-Shot shotgun, Hammer AR, and DMR) this season.

Fortnite v21.30 will release on July 19, 2022 following which Epic Games will take a summer break that will take place between July 24 and August 12.

Fortnite v21.20 update to introduce new No Sweat Summer challenges, NPCs, and skins

Fortnite will release the v21.20 update on July 5, 2022 and players can look forward to enjoying some new No Sweat Summer content in it.

After hyping up the No Sweat Summer event, Fortnite simply released some Creative challenges for XP. However, leaks suggest that new NPCs, cosmetics, and summer-themed challenges will arrive soon.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 is all about Vibin’ and nothing suits this theme better than a humming summer event. However, No Sweat Summer 2022 has only revolved around the Firework Flare Gun and six Creative XP challenges so far.

It is evident that the player base isn’t satisfied with this year’s No Sweat Summer event. Fortunately, Epic Games itself teased more summer content and it should most likely be a part of the v21.20 or the v21.30 updates.

Fortnite promises ‘more summer vibes’ in a post about Island Hopper quests

Leaker iFireMonkey noticed that Epic Games’ official post about the Island Hopper quests states:

“Get vibin’ this summer in style! Want more summer vibes? No sweat, more summer is coming. Stay tuned for more.”

Clearly, Island Hopper quests aren’t the end of No Sweat Summer in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3. However, for now, not a lot is known about the upcoming content.

Leakers have revealed that Epic Games will at least release Boardwalk Ruby, Summer Drift, and Unpeely as NPCs on the island. While the return of these fan favorites will be great, the arrival of Midsummer Midas and Summer Meowscles will be like icing on the cake.

iFireMonkey reported that the Battle Royale modes will soon have summer-themed challenges as well. It is worth noting that the developers began working on Surfboards with Chapter 3 Season 3, and they will also return soon.

When will Fortnite No Sweat Summer event 2022 begin?

Ideally, Fortnite should release the aforementioned content with v21.20 which is expected to release on July 5, 2022. Having said that, it is important to consider that Epic Games’ employees will be taking a summer break from July 24 to August 12.

Fortnite v21.30 should release ahead of this break on July 19, 2022. Because Epic Games won’t be able to roll out hotfixes or other things during the break, iFireMonkey believes that the 21.30 patch will be the most content-loaded update this season.

All in all, loopers can certainly keep their hopes high for the No Sweat Summer event in 2022. While NPCs, challenges, and vehicles have been confirmed by leakers, Epic Games never misses an opportunity to capitalize on event-based cosmetics.

To be fair, the Creative maps for Island Hopper quests are fairly entertaining and a fresh breath of air from the sweaty Battle Royale modes.

Fortnite leak shows two major POIs getting the Reality Bloom effect soon

Reality Bloom is a phenomenon that is wildly spreading across the island as it modifies several POIs. Here are a few more locations that might get that effect in the coming weeks.

Published

fortnite reality bloom

Fortnite Season 3 centers around the Zero Point blessing the island with colors and the mighty Reality Tree spreading its roots across the island. The bloom effect the roots create along several POIs further result in the return of classic locations from the Chapter 1 map.

The mystery behind the flora of the Reality Tree has been revolving across fan theories, leaks and concepts created by the Fortnite player-base. Loopers are having their share of fun with looting from their Reality Saplings and seeing the return of Chapter 1 locations merging with several current POIs as a result of the Reality Bloom effect.

To summarize, when the Reality Tree spreads its roots across the island and grows an extension of itself on a POI, it causes several realities to merge, which in turn merges a POI with another from another point in time. This phenomenon is coined as Reality Bloom effect by the player community.

In the past, players have seen the return of Temple Ruins, Coral Castle and now Neo Tilted in POIs like Logjam, Butter Barn etc. that have all undergone through the Reality Bloom effect. Latest leak shows two more locations that are about to undergo a major change as the roots of the Reality Tree have just begun to spread further.

Sleepy Sound and Condo Canyon are about to undergo the “Reality Bloom Effect” soon

Two major POIs known for its expansive architecture and loot pool, Condo Canyon and Sleepy Sound are under the radar of the Reality Tree next. The two locations will soon see the extensions of the roots of the mysterious tree and will get a Reality Bloom effect.

The effect would then bring POIs such as Tilted Town, Neo Tilted, Coral Castle, Coliseum and Lazy Links to the two locations currently on the map. These POIs are a combination of Chapter 1 & 2 locations whose realities are being merged by the Reality Tree.

Although the effect does bring back fan favorite locations back into the game without any explanation, some loopers speculate that the island might be in grave danger. The mysterious figure that appeared at the end of the Chapter 3 Season 3 trailer has not been seen before and is being called as Bloomwatcher by the player base.

Furthermore, there are theories that the Zero Point might already be causing chaos around the island and the Imagined Order was right to contain it along the Bridge. Now that it is free, the island is undergoing major changes and is running wilder than before.

The mystery of the Zero Point remains as loopers continue to enjoy their time in this madness caused by the chaotic Reality Blooms across their favorite POIs. All that the players ever wanted was the Chapter 1 map to return but it isn’t turning out the way it was supposed to be.
