It’s almost Halloween time in Fortnite again, which means Fortnitemares is returning for 2019. Here’s everything you need to know.

The first Halloween event in Fortnite introduced some of the rarest cosmetics ever, all the way back in October 2017, and then Epic stepped their game up again in 2018 with a full-blown LTM, Zombies and map changes.

With Chapter 2 launching in October, it was just in time for the Halloween event, and there’s a lot of new content already announced, as well as more expected.

When is Fortnitemares 2019?

This year’s Fortnitemares event will begin on October 29, only two days before Halloween itself.

An update will likely go live on Tuesday, October 29 to add the new content, and possibly some map changes. Depending on how big the update is, there might be some downtime required.

We don’t yet know how long the event will last, but presumably at least two weeks, which should give you plenty of time to unlock the various cosmetics and complete any event challenges.

Fortnitemares 2018 was a big success – but not everyone was a fan of the fiends!

Fortnitemares 2019 skins

Epic have already revealed lots of new cosmetics coming for Halloween, including skins, backblings, pickaxes and more.

Some of these were already available before the event started, but there’s a chance they will come back into the store during the event if you missed them:

Leaker @Lucas7Yoshi also discovered more skins in the Dead Ball set that are yet to be released:

Other skins were also leaked back in September, but we don’t have images for these yet, with only their names to judge by.

Weapons and Map changes in Fortnitemares?

Although there’s no information on anything else yet, we can expect there to be more than just cosmetics in the event.

Past years have seen new Halloween-themed weapons such as the Pumpkin Launcher, and Halloween decorations around the map.

It’s also possible that the Zombies or ‘Cube Fiends’ come back in some capacity, but many players didn’t like their addition previously, so Epic might avoid it this time around.
