Fortnite Winterfest is here, and the Lodge might have more to it than you thought.
The Fortnite Winterfest update might be Epic’s best holiday addition yet. Year-one was relatively bland and year-two had zombies, so it’s not much of a contest.
Players are still discovering all that the Lodge has to offer. Here are the little secrets and Easter eggs we’ve found so far.
You can passively gain XP by sitting by the fire next to Crackshot. You likely noticed a couple of small XP ticks when you initially enter the fire, but they get even bigger the longer you wait.
You can passively farm XP if you’re in a position to run Fortnite in the background. You can keep the game running, sit by the fire, and collect your XP.
A lot of players have already maxed-out the Battle Pass, but this is a good way to get some free tiers if you were late to this season’s BP.
Peely wants to come inside
This is a cute little Easter egg that you can see by visiting the jukebox. Click on the banana and Peely will peak his head into the window. Someone wants to come inside.

If you’re having trouble finding the area: it’s next to the presents on the right. Click on the present that totally isn’t the Millennium Falcon and you’ll see Crackshot’s back bling to the right. Click on that and you’ll move over to the jukebox.
The Millennium Falcon isn’t great
This is a PSA: the Millennium Falcon probably isn’t worth opening right away. Sure, it’s cool, but those who have used it know why Epic made it a free glider.
The glider is extremely loud to start – which I hate in itself – but has the added annoyance of completely blinding you when you deploy it. This is a hard pass for me – especially if you’re playing Team Rumble or Arsenal.
By most accounts, the present options aren’t random. We know that the medium-sized package with purple wrapping and a blue bow holds the Peppermint Pickaxe, for instance.
The rest is going to take a couple more days. Here’s what we think we know so far:
- The present behind the Millennium Falcon gives ‘The Sith’ back bling (100%)
- Presents that clap give you an emote
- The present that makes the Boogie Bomb sound is a music track.
- The present shaped like the Millennium Falcon is the Millennium Falcon. You’re welcome.
A couple of these tips could be wrong, but it’s tough to give a guide to these presents with only one day of information. We’ll probably know more tomorrow, allowing you to find the gift for which you’re looking.
If you have any tips on picking gifts, leave them in the comments and we’ll try it out.
