Fortnite v20.20 is here, and it adds a new shotgun, continues the scuffle between the IO and Resistance, and finally makes the Prowler skin unlockable.

Fortnite content updates are what keep players interested in the game over the course of a season. These updates spice up the loot pool, add new POIs, and are highly anticipated by fans.

Since seasons span several months, these updates are the lifeblood of Fortnite. And players are still waiting for a real game-changing update from Season 2.

Fortnite v20.20 isn’t quite as flashy as updates in the past, but it’s still exciting. Here’s everything we know about the most recent content update!

New Ranger Shotgun added

A brand new shotgun has been added that was originally referred to as the Pump 2.0. Now we know its true name: the Ranger Shotgun.

This is a single-fire shotgun that has extended range. It fires one bullet per reload, but deals a hefty amount of damage.

The Ranger Shotgun comes in all four rarities and can be found on the ground and in different types of chests all across the Island.

Prowler skin challenges

The Prowler is set that is included with the Battle Pass was set to release in a couple of days. However, the v20.20 update shortened the countdown and the skin will actually release on April 19 at 10 AM.

That means the Prowler skin challenges are included in the update, and we finally know what it takes to unlock the purple menace. Luckily, they’re all relatively easy, and you only need to complete three to unlock the skin.

More POI turf wars

The Resistance has pushed back against the IO, but Slone won’t give up without a fight. You may have noticed the POI battles at The Daily Bugle and Condo Canyon.

The Fortnite v20.20 changes the battle lines indicated by the blue and red zones on the map. The blimp at Condo Canyon has fallen, and now Coney Crossroads is under siege.

This battel will likely last a week before the suffle between the IO and Resistance move on to a new POI.

Again, Fortnite v20.20 is not the most exciting update, but the new shotgun will be interesting. There will also be different weapons unvaulted over the course of the next two weeks via voting and traditional means.

The final patch for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is here, and it contains a lot of content to cap off the season!

Fortnite content updates are what keep players interested in the game over the course of each season. These updates spice up the loot pool, add new POIs, and are highly anticipated by fans.

Since seasons span several months, these updates are the lifeblood of Fortnite. The majority of updates during Season 2 have been underwhelming, but things are starting to heat up in Fortnite v20.40.

The final update of the season adds sideways weapons, a competitive Zero Build playlist, confirmation of a live event, and much more!

Fortnite v16.30 Bug Fixes

Fortnite Season 2 live event

According to multiple notable leakers, there will be a live event to end Fornite Chapter 3 Season 2. We did not get a live event to end last season or to kick off this season, so this si exciting news.

Some leakers also believe there will be an extended downtime after the live event to prepare for Season 3.

Sideways Week brings back Cube Monster weapons

If you’re one of the few who miss the Sideways weapons from Chapter 2 Season 8, well you’re in luck! For a limited time, the Sideways Rifle and Sideways Minigun have returned.

They are in the game today until May 24, 2022. There’s also a series of Sideways quests that reward extra XP.

In order to upgrade the weapons, you will need to use an Upgrade Bench instead of Monster Parts. This will still allow players to get them to Mythic rarity.

Competitive No Build is coming

According to leaker Shiina, Epic Games have added a new competitive playlist. The playlist is titled “No Build – Competitive” leading people to believe there will be a competitive form of the Zero Build mode.

New Loot Lake POI

The IO are on their heels and have to make a last-ditch effort to win the war against the Resistance. Sprouting up on the northeast side of Loot Lake is the Doomsday Device POI.

It’s likely the live event will center around this device. Until then, players can explore and loot the outpost, but watch out for the IO.

Competitive Changes

Here are all of the competitive changes in Fortnite v20.40:

  • Arena Fill has been enabled.
  • The Sideways Showdown unvaults are not included in competitive playlists.
  • The winner of the Shield Bubbles vs. Balloons vote will not be unvaulted in competitive playlists.

Bug Fixes

Here are all of the major bug fixes in Fortnite v20.40:

  • Fixed an issue involving players not receiving social notifications if they were in a match in a party with another player.
  • Fixed an issue involving the UI of the Anvil Rocket Launcher not appearing.

The Fortnite v20.30 update has dropped, and here’s what we can expect from the third content update of Chapter 3 Season 2.

Fortnite content updates are what keep players interested in the game over the course of each season. These updates spice up the loot pool, add new POIs, and are highly anticipated by fans.

Since seasons span several months, these updates are the lifeblood of Fortnite. While Chapter 3 Season 2 has been an interesting one, none of the updates have felt game-changing.

However, Fortnite v20.30 has some exciting content in store that shakes up the already interesting season.

Star Wars content returns

Star Wars content has returned in full force in honor of May 4 (Star Wars Day). Four different lightsabers and the E-11 blaster are back to once again bring George Lucas’ vision to the Island

Players can also find NPCs, quests, and a Star Destroyer looming above the battlefield. The Star Wars outfits are set to return to the Item Shop soon along with a mysterious skin teased at the end of a brand new trailer.

Resistance vs IO battles continue

Last update, players saw the Resistance and IO battle it out at Coney Crossroads and Rocky Reels. With Fortnite v20.30, the battle will progress to other POIs.

In fact, the Resistance has started to march on Tilted Towers. The poor POI has once again faced a wave of destruction as the raging battle has left many of the large buildings in ruin.

This also means that The IO have left Rocky Reels and the blimp above the drive-in has crash-landed.

Klombo has returned

As a result of the Resistance pushing the IO further and further back, the Klombo have started to come out of hiding. These gentle giants have once again begun to roam the Island.

The Choppa is on its way

The Choppa, aka helicopter, can be brought back into Fortnite via funding stations. These stations are located at each of the Seven Outposts, and a Choppa will reside there permanently once the funding station hits 100%.

Fortnite v20.10 Patch Notes: Heavy Sniper returns, Daily Bugle battle, new weapons, and more

The first update for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is here and it adds new weapons and items to the loot pool as well as new quests.

fortnite season 2 v20-10 update

The first major content update for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is here, and it’s a little underwhelming, to say the least.

Fortnite content updates are what keep players interested in the game over the course of a season. These updates spice up the loot pool, add new POIs, and are highly anticipated by fans.

Since seasons span several months, these updates are the lifeblood of Fortnite. But when an update is underwhelming, players can go weeks without any meaningful new content.

The Fortnite v20.10 patch adds new weapons and gameplay elements but isn’t the best update we’ve ever had. Here’s what you can expect from the first Season 2 update.

Heavy Sniper revamped and now in-game

The Heavy Sniper is one of the most powerful weapons in Fortnite, and it just got stronger. Thanks to a major buff, the sniper’s high-caliber rounds are perfect for taking down vehicles.

Tanks and Battle Buses won’t know what hit ’em when they’re taken down by a Heavy Sniper. The bonus damage dealt to vehicles also applies to cars, trucks, and semis.

It’s now in-game and players can find it in chests, rare chests, and supply drops.

New weapons added to Fortnite loot pool

The weapons added in this update aren’t new but are new to the loot pool. Jet packs have been unvaulted and can be found on blimps. Chili Chug splashes are also back and can be found inside Loot Llamas and Supply Drops.

Additionally, players can now vote to bring back either the MK-Seven or Combat Assault Rifles.

Battle for Daily Bugle commences

The IO and Resistance NPCs can be found at The Daily Bugle POI engaged in an intense battle. Players can help the Resistance defeat The IO to earn amazing loot.

There are also challenges associated with the Daily Bugle battle. Throughout the season, players can help the Resistance reclaim various POIs around the map. The Daily Bugle is just the start.

Fortnite v20.10 Bug Fixes

The following is a list of bugs addressed in this update:

  • Wins are now correctly tracked in the Career Leaderboard tab.
  • Fixed an issue with Resistance Quests where players could not progress into Week 2.
  • Fixed an issue that would cause vehicles to stutter and jerk when driving on flat terrain.
  • The Fishing Collection Book no longer resets between matches and correctly saves progress.
  • Fixed an issue where last season’s quests displayed as tracked on the HUD if no other quests were tracked.
  • Players are now able to use the Ziplines between wind turbines on Windbreakers Island.
  • In order to maintain optimal performance, certain legacy or unsupported drivers will now default to Performance Mode when launching Fortnite
