Fortnite players expect to see the Fortnite v15.30 this week. Here’s what we know about the next major Fortnite patch.

Fortnite Season 5 is one of the longer seasons in recent memory. Unlike some other lengthy seasons, however, we’ve seen a lot of updates come to the game.

Players are expecting another one this week, and v15.30 is next in line. There also seems to be a strong incentive for Epic to release this patch, as they are reportedly changing a skin that players are calling “pay to win.”

Here’s what we expect to see in the v15.30 patch notes when the update goes live.

Bug Fixes

We have a long list of bug fixes coming in the next Fortnite update, from adjusting cosmetics to adjusting some of the biggest issues in the game.

Here’s what you can expect to be fixed in Fortnite v15.30:

  • Sound effect audio delay.
  • Jumpshot Outfit missing its facial hair.
  • The Child Back Bling blocking vision when players aim down sights.
  • Long loading screen after completing a session on PlayStation/Xbox.
  • Game freezing when going to the Compete tab on PlayStation/Xbox.
  • OG Bear vehicle temporarily booted.
  • Receiving damage mid-air when falling inside a car.
  • (Creative)“Devices” and “Prefabs” tabs are swapped when viewing the Creative Inventory.
  • (Creative) Prop holograms become invisible in certain situations for Xbox Creators.
  • (STW) Locating a Durrr Burger not counting towards the “Locating: Burger Break!” Ventures quest.
  • (STW) Eliminating Takers not counting towards the “Eliminate: They Came from the Mist” Ventures quest.

The Superhero Skin Changes

Fortnite players have long been complaining about the “pay-to-win” nature of customizable superhero skins in Fortnite.

For those who don’t know, it’s incredibly difficult to see superhero skins with black-on-black variations – especially with shadows enabled which is the only available setting on console.

After months of complaints on social media, Epic have announced that they are going to change the skins. Starting in v15.30, players will no longer be able to use all-white or all-black superhero skins.

Weapon and Vehicle Mods?

Recent leaks have pointed to the fact that Epic are working on vehicle and weapon mods for future Fortnite update. These changes could come in v15.30, but we don’t expect them to.

It’s worth mentioning that these changes could come in any Fortnite update, but the smart money is on the idea that they won’t be here until Season 6.

We expect Epic to remove exotic items and for the new weapon mod system to take its place. Of course, only time will tell.

We’ll keep you posted when we learn more about the release date of v15.30. Fortnite updates usually come on Tuesday, but we could be seeing a Wednesday or Thursday release.

According to Fortnite data miners, there are a lot of updates in the “staging” servers, which means there will be several patches before the March 15 Season 6 release date. Stay tuned for more.

Fortnite v15.50: what to expect

The Fortnite v15.50 update has been confirmed for March 2. Here’s everything you need to know about the final patch of Season 5.

Published

The Fortnite v15.50 update will be released on March 2 and will be the last patch of Fortnite Season 5.

We’re in the final stretch of Fortnite Season 5, with the v15.50 patch reported to be the last update of the season. Epic have confirmed that this update will come on March 2, with two weeks left before Season 6.

Ahead, we’ll cover all of the bug fixes and expected updates coming in the patch so you’ll have a better idea of what’s coming when you launch the game on March 2.

Bug fixes

Bug fixes are a part of any Fortnite update, and v15.50 is no exception. Epic are tackling some issues with this update, including a few long-standing problems that have been in the game for a while.

Here are all of the bug fixes listed as “Fixed in Next Game Update” on the Fortnite Community Issues Trello board.

  • Total Bars appearing as 0 when loading into a match with high latency.
  • Rift Fish and Jellyfish temporarily disabled.
  • Cars not always dealing damage on impact.
  • Snowy Floppers do not grant Shield or Icy Feet.
  • Split Screen “Ready Up!” issue.
  • (STW) Escalation Modifier Damage Buff does not buff Hero Skills or Gadgets.

Unvaulted weapon

When Epic announced the v15.50 update, they told us that the Hand Cannon is headed back to the Vault in favor of another returning item. We saw the same thing last week when the Flint Knock hit the vault and made way for the Hand Cannon.

We don’t know exactly what this unvaulted weapon will be, but the word “item” instead of “weapon” could tell us something. Will we see something like the Grappler, Launch Pad, or Boogie Bomb? We’ll know for sure when the update goes live.

New NPC functions

This one falls into the speculation category, but it’s possible that we see updated NPC functions in the v15.50 update.

According to data miners, we should be able to sell some of our loot to NPCs for Gold Bars in the future. Some have even suggested that we could be able to purchase Supply Drops from them.

This is a pretty significant feature, however, and it would seem a bit pointless if Epic added it in the last update of the season. We expect to see this one in Season 6, but there’s always a chance we get it tomorrow.

Fortnite v15.40 early patch notes: Flint Knock returns, LTMs & more

The “most amazing” Fortnite patch ever has been revealed, and here’s everything that’s included.

Fortnite gameplay

Epic Games has confirmed a few key details on Fortnite’s v15.40 update. From all the new content to an exact release time, here’s everything there is to know.

Another week brings us another Fortnite update. Fresh content is always right around the corner in Epic’s battle royale and this latest batch has fans eager to jump back in.

Not only are popular limited time modes back in full force, but a fan favorite weapon is also being unvaulted. Moreover, the game should be smoother than ever thanks to the latest wave of bug fixes.

The February 16 update is finally here but before we get there, here’s everything we know about Fortnite’s 15.40 patch.

Fortnite v15.40 patch downtime

No different from previous weeks, Epic Games has confirmed the exact timing for the next update. Fortnite’s v15.40 patch will be deployed on Tuesday, February 16. Downtime is scheduled to begin at roughly 4AM ET | 10 AM BST | 9 AM UTC.

While the new update brings new content, it will also remove various “unreleased assets are props,” Epic added. This means downtime could be a little longer than usual as the developers overhaul bigger chunks of the game.

However, as a result of these changes, the overall file size of Fortnite should be reduced moving forward.

Fortnite v15.40 patch notes

Unvaulted weapon

Epic had teased the return of a popular item. “Blast back with an unvaulted favorite,” they shared in a February 15 tweet.

‘Blast’ points towards something explosive on the way. From the Quad Launcher to Dynamite, there are plenty of explosive options that have been vaulted away for a number of months.

On February 16, once the dust settled on the update, it was revealed that the Flint Knock Pistol was the one returning to battle.

Portals added

Fortnite leakers have reported that two Hunter portals have been added to the game, potentially lining up two new crossovers for Season 5.

We’ve already seen The Mandalorian, God of War, Halo and others appear during the course of the current season – and ShiinaBR has revealed two more encrypted skins are on the way, too.

Limited Time Modes: Air Royale & Floor is Lava

With Fortnite’s 15.40 update, two LTMs are making a return. Both Air Royale and Floor is Lava will be back for everyone to enjoy.

The first was an extremely popular mode upon release in April 2019. Air Royale loads all players into X4 Stormwing’s until there’s just one survivor left.

Meanwhile, Floor is Lava is the polar opposite. Rather than soaring through the skies, players begin on the ground and have to climb their way up to avoid deadly lava.

Fortnite v15.40 bug fixes

Outside of the new content, Fortnite’s latest patch comes with a number of bug fixes as well. The 15.40 update is expected to fix issues across not only the battle royale, but Save The World and Creative modes too.

Below is a full list of every fix that is expected to go live with the latest Fortnite patch.

General

  • Total Bars appearing as “0” in a match.
  • Purple XP Coins disappearing when driven through (without granting XP).
  • Matchmaking doesn’t start if unreadied player leaves early.

Creative Mode

  • Phone Booths do not respect island settings when players change Outfits.

Save the World

  • Mythic Lead Survivor portraits appear only as silhouettes.
  • Locating a Durrr Burger not counting towards the “Locating: Burger Break!” Ventures quest.

That’s everything there is to know about Fortnite’s 15.40 update for the time being. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as further information becomes available.

What to expect in Fortnite v15.40: “The most amazing thing ever”

Fortnite v15.40 is expected to release on February 16. Here are all of the bug fixes and expected patch notes for the next Fortnite update.

Fortnite v15.40 is expected to release on Tuesday, February 16. Here’s what to expect in the update.

The rumor mill is swirling when it comes to Fortnite v15.40. Some players, who report having some inside knowledge, have called the contents of v15.40, “The most amazing thing ever.”

We don’t know exactly what this means, but we have a couple of ideas. Here’s everything you need to know about the update before the patch notes land on February 16.

Bug Fixes

Bug fixes are a natural part of any Fortnite update. We only have a few issues set to be fixed in v15.40, which may not be the primary focus of the update.

One item we don’t see listed relates to the superhero skin set. In v15.30, Epic attempted to remove the ability for players to use all-black and all-white superhero skins. Fans quickly found a workaround, however, which led to Epic removing the skins from competitive modes.

Here are all of the items listed as “Fixed in next game update” on the Fortnite Community Issues Trello Board.

  • Total Bars appearing as 0 in a match.
  • Purple XP Coins disappearing when driven through (without granting XP).
  • Matchmaking doesn’t start if unreadied player leaves early.

“The most amazing thing ever”

On February 14, data miner ShiinaBR tweeted that a Japanese content creator, urara_123urara, said that v15.40 was going to be a “real mess” and “the most amazing thing ever.”

We don’t know how this creator would know what the v15.40 update has in store for the game, but this led to massive speculation within the community. What could be an amazing addition and a mess at the same time? We have no real idea.

With the Season 5 FNCS underway, it wouldn’t make a ton of sense to completely change the meta of the game. If Epic did make a large shift, it wouldn’t be the first time we saw a mid-tournament Fortnite update.

If anything huge does come to Fortnite, we expect it to be excluded from competitive modes for the rest of the season.

Weapon/vehicle mods?

Normally, we’d assume that these leaked features would be held until Fortnite Season 6. With rumors of this being a massive update, however, we’re starting to think that we may see weapon and vehicle mods sooner rather than later.

Earlier this year, data miners found files that related to weapon and vehicle mods coming to Fortnite in the future. These would be huge for the game, which is why a lot of fans assumed that Epic would hold off until Season 6.

With rumors swirling about v15.40, though, these mods are the only major leaks that came to mind. We’ll have to see what happens when v15.40 releases.

Again, we have no idea if weapon and vehicle mods are coming to Fortnite in v15.40. Common sense dictates that these will be Season 6 features, and we’re only including them because of the speculation surrounding the impact that v15.40 will have on the game.

An unvaulted weapon

Epic Games have confirmed that v15.40 will feature an unvaulted weapon. We have no idea what this is going to be, but we can guess what the bulk of the Fortnite community probably wants: the Pump Shotgun.

Apart from this weapon, it’s difficult to guess what returning weapon we could see. The Burst AR may come back, but the Heavy AR already fills that slot. We wouldn’t mind seeing the Burst stay away for the rest of the season.

If the Pump does come back, the shotgun loot pool would be relatively cluttered. We’d have the Charge, Lever-Action, Tac, and Dragon’s Breath shotguns. With all of those options, we’d probably still see most players choosing the Pump over everything else.

Whatever happens, we’ll be here to cover the changes, fixes, patch notes, and everything else when the new Fortnite update goes live. Make sure to follow us on Twitter @FortniteINTEL so you never miss out on the latest Fortnite news.
