Epic has announced the downtime for the first real patch of Fortnite Chapter 2.
Fortnite Chapter 2 is three weeks old at the point and we’ve yet to see Epic release a true update for the game. Sure, we got a content update that fixed some bugs, but that’s about it.
Tomorrow, October 29, Epic will release patch 11.10 for Fortnite Chapter 2. The official Fortnite Status account announced the timing of the downtime on Twitter: the traditional 4 AM start.
We don’t know if we’ll be getting anything new with 11.10, but we do know one thing: Fortnitemares 2019 is coming.
The event will start at 9 AM tomorrow morning, as per the Fortnite Twitter account. What will come with the update? That’s anyone’s guess.
Unfortunately, if past seasons are any indication, Epic will probably bring zombies back to Fortnite. Everyone’s least-favorite mechanic will likely return for the fifth time, regardless of how much the community hates these husks ruining their BR experience.
Epic is still selling Save the World, which features husks as a core mechanic. An LTM would be great, but it’s probably too much to ask to have Epic keep these zombies in an LTM of their own.
Fortnite v11.10 also marks the true Fortnite Patch Notes test. Will Epic finally release the patch notes, or are they dedicated to keeping us in the dark for the entirety of the season?
We’ll find out tomorrow morning.
