The Fortnite v10.20 Content Update has been officially announced by Epic Games and should bring a slew of new material to the popular Battle Royale title.
Each week, Epic Games releases a new update to bring new content, bug fixes, and other adjustments to Fortnite Battle Royale to keep the game feeling ‘fresh’ for the millions of active players.
This week, players are in store for another Season 10 Content Update. Unlike regular patches, Content Updates typically revolve around bringing new weapons, map locations, and content changes to the game, rather than fixing issues.
We have compiled a list of everything we know (so far) about the Fortnite v10.20 Content Update below!
When is the Fortnite Battle Royale v10.20 Content Update going to be released?
According to Epic Games, the v10.20 Content Update will release on Tuesday, September 3 at 5 AM PST / 8 AM EST / 1 PM BST.
Unlike a major patch, the v10.20 Content Update will require zero downtime, which means players will be able to hop right into a game and witness the changes.
Having zero downtime is typically correlated with a smaller patch, so don’t get your hopes up for massive, game-changing adjustments.

What will be added in the Fortnite v10.20 Content Update?
At the time of writing, the only new addition that we know about is the recently announced Zapper Trap.
While the Zapper Trap made its Fortnite debut in Season One, it was eventually removed by Epic Games after some player complaints. However, it appears that the studio wants to try to bring the Trap back with a few tweaks.
Although we don’t know much about other possible additions, there is a chance that Fatal Fields might be getting a makeover, due to the fact that the Rift Beacon is currently located there.
The Rift Beacon is not yet active at the time of writing this piece, but it will probably activate sometime in the next few hours.

Fatal Fields has been one of the longest-lasting Points of Interest since Fortnite was released, so changing it might bring some backlash from community members.
