The previously leaked Season 8 lead-up events have began as Fortnite players have experienced an Earthquake Tremor in-game.
At 2PM Pacific Time on Tuesday, February 5th, 2019 – Fortnite players were greeted by a relatively significant screen shake effect and the sound of rocks moving.
This appears to be a start of the Season 8 lead-up events which were discovered in the Fortnite v7.30 files roughly 1 week ago.

It is not yet known how often these events will occur. The community is assuming that a Tremor will occur once every 45 minutes, this is simply speculation at the time of writing.
The leaked files indicate that there will be a total of 50 Earthquake Tremors, each with an increasing amount of strength.
It’s expected that there will be small tremors which gradually increase in magnitude over-time. Assuming each strength value is used once, there should be a total of 50 tremors.
Assuming a Tremor occurs once every 45 minutes and there are a total of 50, all Tremors will have occurred after 37 hours and 30 minutes. It’s likely this is not the case and the Tremors will be a reoccurring event all the up to Season 8.
