It looked like the stage was set for a major change at Risky Reels, but all of that work has now been undone.

Just a few days back on December 6, renovations were happened at Risky Reels, indicating there would be some sort of map change or event happening there.

However, all of the progress has been reset and Risky Reels is back to looking normal. There’s not really any sort of reasoning for this other than the upcoming Star Wars screening that will show an exclusive clip from The Rise of Skywalker.

Perhaps this could be chalked up to the fact the inaugural season of Chapter 2 has been extended but Epic simply forgot to change the dates around to coincide with that extension.

With The Rise of Skywalker screening taking place on December 14, it would have been hard to have that happen with no screen left.

If we had to guess, we imagine we’ll see the construction start back up sometime after the Star Wars event finishes.

We’re still quite a while out from the end of the first season, with it ending in early February, so the construction might have to wait until much later.

No matter the case, this is definitely not the end of the construction we’ve seen at Risky Reels.

We don’t really have a great idea of what the developers have in store for the rest of this season due to the delay.

Live events usually close out the end of a Fortnite season and while we can expect that again this time, we don’t know what form it will take.

Whatever it will be, we’re sure it will be something to look forward to because we haven’t been let down by a live event yet.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for when the construction starts back up at Risky Reels for another hint to what the devs have in store.
