Epic Games stated that Storm Circles would no longer finish in certain Fortnite Points of Interest, but that is seemingly not the case.

The Fortnite Battle Royale v10.31 patch officially released on Wednesday, September 18 and brought a number of significant changes to Storm Circles.

Most notably, Storm Circles would no longer end in a number of high-profile locations across the Fortnite map in order to keep the game as balanced as possible.

As of Wednesday, September 18, these locations include (in core and Arena modes):

  • Moisty Palms
  • Greasy Grove
  • Tilted Town
  • Retail Row

However, even though these locations can be found in the official v10.31 patch notes released by Epic Games, some players are apparently still finding themselves in final Storm Circles at these POI’s.

Popular YouTuber Ali-A shared a snapshot of a late-game Storm Circle after the patch that was ending in Moisty Palms side-by-side with the v10.31 patch notes, which raised some speculation regarding if the update actually worked.

Reddit user Dylan_327 also shared the same confusion by posting a late-game Storm Circle that was finishing in Mosity Palms.

not sure what happened to the circles not ending in moisty palms anymore… from r/FortNiteBR

While it isn’t completely clear as to how these issues may have happened, some community members mentioned that there could be more specifics that Epic Games failed to include in their patch notes regarding how the Storm Circles could end.

At the time of writing, Epic Games have yet to release a statement regarding the final Storm Circles showing up in excluded locations.

We will continue to provide updates on this story as more information is made available.
