Some of the old vehicles from Fortnite Chapter 1 could be coming back to the game, according to recent Fortnite leaks.
Ever since the Shopping Cart back in the early days of Fortnite, Epic have been experimenting with new vehicle types to bring to the game. These vehicles have ranged from the entertaining and useful Driftboard to the broken and overpowered BRUTE.
Many of these vehicles – such as the Baller, Golf Cart, and Quad Crasher – have a special place in the heart of many players. We’ve been asking for some of these vehicles to return since Chapter 2 began, but Epic have been focusing on new content.
Cars, Motorboats, and Helicopters have populated the Chapter 2 map instead of any returning vehicles from “Old Fortnite.” According to a leak from FNBRUnreleased, however, that may change in the future. In a series of tweets, the data miner confirmed that Ballers, Driftboards, and Golf Carts had all been updated in the game files.
Of course, this could be related to an LTM, but we highly doubt that these vehicles would receive an update that only affects Creative Mode. We expect to see them in the game in some form or another.
We already saw the return of the X4-Stormwing during the Operation Snowdown event. At the time of writing, the plane is also enabled for the Air Royale LTM. We could see something similar with these returning vehicles.
Our best guess would be that these vehicles will return during Season 6. If you remember, we heard a lot of information in Season 4 that we thought we’d see in that season. As it turned out, most of those leaks revealed Season 5 information.
When you combine this with the leaked mod slots, it’s safe to assume that we’ll be getting a lot of this new content in the next Fortnite season. If and when these vehicles return to the game, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Cartoon Meowscles skin leaked by Fortnite France Twitter
The highly-anticipated Cartoon Meowscles skin is real and has been leaked for the official Fortnite France Twitter.
The highly-anticipated Cartoon Meowscles skin was revealed early thanks to a now-deleted Twitter video from Fortnite France. The vintage take on a fan-favorite skin is will be a must-buy when this cartoon feline lands in the Item Shop.
Cartoon Meowscles was first discovered a week ago when data miners found an in-game spray that depicted the cat, Fishstick, and Peely as classic cartoon characters. Miners then discovered code for what seemed to be a set of cartoon-themed skins.
One week later, Fortnite begins teasing Meowscles’ transformation with a three-panel comic. Meowscles eats a peculiar-looking fish wearing a top hat and then begins to transform into a cartoon. This morning, Fortnite posted a teaser video of the official Meowscles music pack with a still image of the upcoming skin.
However, Fortnite France’s Twitter was slightly overzealous and posted a video of the actual Meowcles skin performing a built-in emote. The tweet was quickly removed but reuploaded by iFireMonkey and various other Fortnite leakers.
The Cartoon Meowscles skin perfectly depicts a 1950’s cartoon, and the emote shows off the iconic boneless movements of that style. The lack of shading and stark contrast between the blacks and whites of the skin also help emphasize the feeling of a vintage cartoon.
With the teasers for the skin becoming more frequent, players will likely see him appear in the Item Shop tonight or sometime in the next couple of days. However, the cartoon Fishstick and Peely skins have yet to be teased at all. It was believed that the three would be sold as a set, but Cartoon Meowscles might be a lone wolf.
Meowscles, Peely, and Fishstick have become mascots of Fortnite since their release. Fans adore their goofy designs, and they are used quite frequently in promotional videos. Despite Peely having been blown away in the Season 6 trailer, it would be great to see him return as a 1950’s cartoon banana.
Only time will tell if all three of these mascots get toonified, and hopefully, it will happen sooner rather than later. While these skins may not be competitively viable due to their bulky nature, they are must-haves for avid skin collectors.
Top 10 highest earning Fortnite Collaborations
Fortnite is known for its collaborations with other media franchises, and here are the top 10 highest earning collabs.
A leaked document from the Epic Games vs Apple trial revealed the highest earning Fortnite collaborations. While the document doesn’t give specific numbers, a bar graph compares the revenue from each collab.
Fortnite is known for its collaborations with other media franchises. Sometimes they are as simple as Easter eggs hidden around the map, and other times they are as extensive as an entire themed season. Fortnite has used these collabs to generate massive amounts of revenue, but some are more profitable than others.
These collaborations have included DC Comics, Borderlands, Wreck-it Ralph, and a number of other popular franchises. Collaborations started off small with a single licensed skin every few seasons. Now, players can expect a new licensed character every week or two.
Of course, the size of the crossover can also affect how much revenue it generates. That’s why people won’t surprised to see the first few names on the list. Yet, there are a couple of placements on the list that may be surprising.
|3rd||National Football League (NFL)|
|8th||Tyler “Ninja” Blevins|
Keep in mind, this is from a report made in June of 2020 at the end of the 2019-20 fiscal year. Marvel’s season-long crossover had yet to start when this report was made. As well, Grefg, Lachlan, and Lazarbeam hadn’t had their skins revealed yet which could easily bump a few of these names off the list.
Marvel, DC, and Star Wars had already had multiple crossovers at that time and multiple opportunities to purchase the collab skins. When looking at the chart below, none of the other franchises come close to Marvel. However, if select skins such as Travis Scott or Marshmello were put back into the item shop, they may generate enough revenue to move up the ranks.
It’s interesting to look at the revenue generated vs the size of the IP. Drake has more monthly listeners than both Marshmello and Travis Scott. Yet, since he only has an emote in Fortnite, the revenue he generated is much less.
Seeing the insane number of collaborations over the past year, there’s no doubt that this top ten list will change. DC is on the verge of releasing a number of new cosmetics, Grefg’s record-breaking stream must have also influenced skin sales, and the addition of beloved video game characters will have an impact on the highest earning Fortnite collaborations
Every leaked Fortnite collab from Epic Games vs. Apple trial
A leaked document from the Epic Games vs Apple trial has revealed a ton of scrapped/delayed collaborations.
During the first day of the Epic Games vs Apple trial, a slew of scrapped/delayed crossovers was leaked. These include collaborations that were rumored around the time they were supposed to release.
Today, May 3, 2021, marked the first day of the three-week trial between Epic Games and Apple. During the first meeting, a document titles Apple X Epic Quarterly Business Review: June 2020 was leaked. This document contained insightful information into how Epic Games performed during the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
However, it also revealed a number of scrapped/delayed collaborations that Fortnite had planned for 2020 and 2021. The document does not go into detail as to why these collaborations never came to fruition. Seeing as the Neymar Jr. collab was meant to take place at the end of 2020, its delay could mean that the rest of the collaborations will happen in the future.
Samus Aran – Metroid
Samus Aran is the main protagonist in the Metroid series that was supposed to be a part of Fortnite Season 5. Her appearance was supposed to be alongside Master Chief and Kratos as one of the most prolific warriors in video games, but she wasn’t released for some reason.

Around the time of her intended release, it had been rumored that she would be coming to Fortnite. Yet, when Season 5 came and went, the rumor was considered just that.
Naruto Uzumaki is a young ninja from the popular Shonen Jump series Naruto. He was also planned to appear in Fortnite, but the timing of this collab remains unknown. Seeing as Season 5 featured the game’s first anime-like character, he could have been intended for that season as well.
Lebron James – NBA Lakers
Lebron James is a world-famous basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers. He was intended to be added to the game with his own Icon Series set. Many believe he will be added to Fortnite soon seeing as a basketball-themed event is taking place during v16.40.

James was supposed to appear in Q4 of 2020 around the original release date of Neymar Jr. Seeing as Neymar’s release was pushed back to 2021, it’s possible that Lebron will appear in Fortnite soon.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
A collab with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was speculated by numerous fans at the start of Fortnite Season 6. The Rock had stated on social media that a collab with Fortnite was in the works, and The Scientist from Fortnite shares similar markings with Johnson.
The court documents now confirm that Epic Games had intended to collab with Dwayne Johnson during Q1 of 2021. Due to the delayed release of several seasons in 2020, this collab could be pushed off to a later season.
Katniss Everdeen – The Hunger Games
Katniss Everdeen is the heroine of The Hunger Games series, and she could easily fit in both Season 5 and 6. Season 5 focused on crossing over with iconic characters from movies and video games. As well, Season 6 has had a heavy focus on the use of bows. Seeing as Katniss primarily uses bows, she could fit right in with Lara Croft and Aloy.
The Bride – Kill Bill
The Bride is the main character in the Kill Bill movies, and was intended to be in Fortnite. When she was supposed to appear remains unknown, but she was likely planned for Season 5. This season featured crossovers with characters from similar movie franchises, and she would feel out of place if she appeared in another season.
John McClane – Die Hard
John McClane is the leading character in the Die Hard films. Seeing as he’s another 80s action hero who didn’t make the cut for Season 5, it can be assumed he was scrapped from Fortnite altogether. Unless Epic Games is planning another gritty action hero season, McClane will have to stick to the streets of LA.
Snake Plissken – Escape From New York
Snake Plissken is the main protagonist in Escape from New York and Escape from L.A. He’s yet another character that was likely scrapped due to his lack of appearance in Fortnite Season 5.
Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande – Musical Performances
Similar to concerts by Dillon Francis and J Balvin, Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga were slated to perform in some capacity in Fortnite. This could have meant they were going to have a larger-than-life concert like Travis Scott or a simple set on Party Royale. These concerts didn’t end up taking place, but that doesn’t mean they won’t in the future.
