If this Fortnite leak comes true, it could mean massive updates to Creative Mode, opening a vast number of new doors.
Epic introduced Creative Mode to Fortnite with Season 7 – just over a year ago. Initially, this brought us the ability to 1v1 without having to gather random loot and stockpile materials.
What we soon realized, though, was that Creative Mode gave us the ability to do a lot more than we first thought. Game modes began to arise out of nothing – modes that we didn’t know we wanted.
The community began to create Zone Wars, deathruns, mazes, deathmathes, and many more game types within Fortnite itself. More recently, one player created an entire video game within Fortnite Creative Mode.
Creative Mode has single-handedly kept Fortnite alive during some of the worst meta shifts we’ve faced. Season X was dominated by Creative Mode – specifically Zone Wars and box-fighting. It saved many of us from the BRUTE.
New Fortnite rumors and leaks suggest that we may be getting a massive expansion to Creative Mode. Data miner Lucas7Yoshi found some files that point to a ‘Battle Lab,’ which could grant us the ability to use Creative Mode assets on the Fortnite island.
This new feature would open the door to a long list of new possibilities. We could have realistic Zone Wars maps, for instance, that will simulate exact late-game scenarios around the map.

It might be a while before we see anything like this come to fruition, but it would be a massive update if Epic brought it in with Chapter 2 Season 2. The sky is the limit for all of the insane creations that the community could make.
