Tfue addresses rumors that he quit Fortnite

Tfue addresses rumors that he quit Fortnite and returns with, what could be, a God-tier trio.

Tfue has unquestionably been the biggest Fortnite streamer on Twitch since Ninja left. He’s stuck with the game for years, and only recently started flirting with the idea of moving on.

Tfue floated a move to Warzone following the most recent FNCS Invitational. He seemed to get fed up with aim assist and needed a break from the game. He tweeted a cryptic message before switching his streams to Warzone for an extended period.

This led many fairweather Tfue fans to suggest that the longtime pro and streamer was officially quitting the game. He seems to be loving Warzone and has reunited with his old duo partner and friend, Cloakzy.

On May 20, Tfue took to Twitter to clarify that he wasn’t quitting Fortnite. “No I didn’t quit Fortnite,” he wrote on Twitter. “I just think the game is super unfair atm and wanted to take a break.”

In fact, it looks like Tfue has his sights set on a return to Fortnite for a Trios competition. He, Scoped, and new teammate, Innocents, showed-out during a recent bout of pro scrimmages. Scoped, as usual, showed that he’s one of the best Fortnite players in the world with a massive clutch at the end of a match.

Sometimes, we all need time away from a game in order to enjoy it more. It seems like Tfue is getting a much-needed break from Fortnite. Judging by his recent streams, he’s been considerably more positive towards the game when he does play.

It will likely take a new format and some additional time away for Tfue to come back to Fortnite full-time. He may never come back, and instead, focus on a variety of titles or competing in a different game. Only time will tell.

Fans speculate a Fortnite x SpongeBob crossover in Season 3

Fortnite fans are speculating that a Fortnite X SpongeBob crossover is coming in Season 3.

Published

on

It’s already been a wild day in the Fortnite leaks scene, with a leaked image coming from the PlayStation store that seems to confirm rumors of a map-wide flood in Fortnite Season 3. The image seems innocent enough, at first, until you look at the background. The Battle Bus is flying low, above the water, with a small island poking out in the background.

Console companies like Sony and Microsoft are notorious for jumping the gun, and Sony appears to have done so, yet again.

To be fair, this was likely caused by the short-notice delay of Season 3. Sony probably had their update ready to go for this week, only to miss the mark when Epic delayed the next season.

This wasn’t just confirmation of previously-leaked Season 3 info, though. Fans noticed a striking similarity between the island in the back of the promotional image and the introduction to the popular cartoon, SpongeBob SquarePants.

The introduction to the show begins with a shot of an island with three palm trees, just like we see in the leaked PlayStation Store image.

Naturally, this led to speculation within the Fortnite community that Season 3 would involve a SpongeBob crossover. Epic have proven that they love to incorporate pop-culture and memes into the game. A SpongeBob crossover would tick both boxes.

In fact, this could even relate to the rumored Aquaman skin in Season 3. What if it isn’t Aquaman at all? What if it’s Mermaid Man?

We only have to wait a week until we know whether or not this theory is legitimate. It seems strange to make such a direct SpongeBob reference without any inclusion in the Battle Pass.

Anything short of a Squidward skin would be disappointing, now. Let’s hope that we see a couple of our favorite SpongeBob characters in next season’s Battle Pass.

TSM gives ZexRow last chance following Ninja Battles outburst

Fortnite pro, ZexRow, receives a fine and a final warning from his organization, TSM.

Ninja Battles Week 1 took place last Thursday, providing viewers with one of the better competitive Fortnite tournaments in recent memory – Flopper heal-offs aside. With Arena Trios now in the game, the Ninja Battles series looks to only get more competitive.

There were a couple of controversies that arose after the event – both of which were self-inflicted by the participants. The more glaring of the two involved TSM pro, Anthony ‘ZexRow’ Colandro, who embarked on a cuss-filled rant following his team’s win.

ZexRow issued an official apology for the outburst, but not before he was banned from the tournament by Ninja, himself. As the days went on, it became clear that some fans were calling for his organization, TSM, to drop him. ZexRow even tweeted that he’d ask about leaving TSM over his statements.

On May 29, TSM’s CEO, Andy Dinh, released a blog post that addressed the ZexRow situation. “We are extremely disappointed in the comments made by Anthony ‘ZexRow’ Colandro and take this matter very seriously,” Dinh wrote.

“Effective immediately, he has been fined one month’s salary. His behavior was absolutely inappropriate, and does not represent the values of TSM or our brand partners.”

The statement went on to say that TSM was providing ZexRow with professional counseling and training, “helping him to work on how he conducts himself – both publicly and privately.”

Dinh’s post concluded by saying that TSM has a zero-tolerance policy for such behavior and that the organization will “be forced to part ways if something like this should occur again in the future. We believe in Zex, and have faith that with serious personal reflection and focus, he can move forward from this.”

This was, clearly, a learning experience for a young pro gamer. What he said may not have been the worst thing a gamer has said, but it showed a complete lack of professionalism and appreciation for the moment. Hopefully, he will take this opportunity to grow both professionally and personally.
