The August Fortnite Crew Pack has been revealed, and a fan-made concept is this month’s exclusive skin.
Fortnite Crew is a monthly subscription service that offers an exclusive skin that can’t be obtained anywhere else. As well as cosmetics, Epic Games often throws in a few other goodies. Free subscriptions to other services and access to the Save The World game mode have been part of the Crew Pack in the past.
However, the big-ticket items are exclusive cosmetics. Players have one month to subscribe before the skins, Back Blings, and pickaxes are gone forever. While some skins are a bit lackluster, the August Fortnite Crew Pack is one you won’t want to miss.
August Crew Pack features fan-made skin
The August Fortnite Crew pack skin is named Summer Skye, but it’s more than just a Sky variant. Summer Sky was designed by concept artist Nollobandz who has designed a couple of other skins that have made it into Fortnite.
Dark Rex, Lyra, and Eco are all skins that Nollobandz designed. They are one of many creators who have had their concepts become a reality. Summer Skye is an homage to all of the fan-made skins that have made it into Fortnite so far.
Summer Skye’s outfit is made up of different parts of other fan-made skins. Fortnite hints at this in its reveal tweet by listing all of the skins it references.
Summer Skye is coming to Fortnite on August 1 as a part of the August Fortnite Crew Pack. The skin comes with four styles, a Back Bling, one-handed pickaxe, and two wraps. When unequipped, the sword pickaxe will be sheathed in the Back Bling.
As well, the Fortnite Crew Pack will include 1,000 V-Bucks and season-long access to the Battle Pass. The subscription costs $11.99 USD.

Leaker details new Mythic Shuriken and Creative Hub
HYPEX is one of the most popular Fortnite Dataminers, and this is because they are a very credible source of information. Hopefully, that remains true, as HYPEX has tweeted that Naruto will be added on November 16th.
He also claims that Naruto will come with a Hidden Leaf Village Creative Hub. The skins and hub are planned to release on November 16th at 2 PM UTC/ 9 AM ET. We have also seen various Naruto assets leaked by HYPEX.
These assets include a Mythic explosive shuriken, a Naruto boss NPC, and a ramen bowl identical to the one in the show. As well, HYPEX has found two encrypted skins in the files that are believed to be a part of the collab named “HeadbandK” and “HeadbandS”.
As of right now, that’s all we know about the Naruto x Fortnite collab. If what HYPEX says is true, the Naruto skin will be in Fortnite very soon. And when that happens, we will update this story with the price, release date, and Mythic Weapon info.

Fortnite’s Combat Pistol is a worse version of the now vaulted pistol
The new Combat Pistol is worse than Fortnite’s now vaulted pistol. Here’s why the Combat Pistol is inferior to the OG Pistol.
The new Combat Pistol in Fortnite Season 8 is a slight downgrade from the original pistol, and players aren’t happy about it.
The pistol has been a staple weapon in Fortnite since Chapter 1 Season 1. The phrase “it’s better than nothing” definitely applies to the Pistol. It’s not very strong, has poor range, and is at the bottom of every tier list.
However, if you and an opponent land at the same spot, a pistol beats not having a weapon. Yet, Fortnite has somehow managed to introduce a weapon that’s worse than the original Pistol.
In fact, Epic Games has crafted a “new” weapon that is seemingly the original pistol but with worse stats. The new Combat Pistol is now in Fortnite, but players aren’t happy with its arrival.
The Combat Pistol is worse than the OG
At first, players were excited to try out the new Combat Pistol. The Combat Assault Rifle was recently added, and it tears through players easily. The Combat Shotgun is a fan favorite weapon that won a recent poll. So why wouldn’t the Combat Pistol be amazing too?
Well, players absolutely hate the new Combat Pistol. Reddit user phr00t_ expressed their opinion of the weapon, and many comments agreed.
The Combat Pistol deals one less damage than the OG Pistol. It has one less bullet in its clip. It has substantially worse recoil than the OG. But it does have a slightly faster reload time and less bullet spread.
However, players do seem to like the sound the Combat Pistol makes. For all of its shortcomings, at least it sounds good when you shoot it. That being said, I’m sure players will continue to drop their pistols for Grey SMGs, and many players may never get around to shooting it.

Fortnite x League of Legends: Jinx Skin, release date, and price
Fortnite and League of Legends are teaming up to bring the Champion Jinx to The Island in celebration of the new animated series Arcane.
Fortnite is collaborating with League of Legends to celebrate the release of the Netflix Original animated series Arcane.
League of Legends is one of the most popular Esports titles. Two of its largest Esports events are the second and third most-watched Esports tournaments worldwide. Nearly 4 million viewers tuned in during the 2019 and 2020 World Championships.
With Fortnite making a habit of collaborating with the biggest and best games in the industry, it was only a matter of time before it collaborated with LoL. And what better time than during the release of the new League of Legends show.
Arcane is an animated series coming to Netflix that features various champions from League of Legends. To celebrate its release, Fortnite is bringing League of Legends champion Jinx to The Island.
Fortnite Jinx Skin release date and price
Arcane premiers on Netflix on Saturday, November 6th. And according to notable dataminer ShiinaBR, the Jinx skin will release sometime this week (Nov. 1 – 6).
That being said, we don’t know exactly when Jinx will be available to purchase. However, we can assume that it will be either Friday or Saturday to build hype for the show’s release.
As for the price, the League of Legends skin will likely cost the same as other Fortnite Gaming Legends skins. Jinx’s base skin will cost 1,500 V-Bucks and might also have a bundle that discounts the cost of her accessories.
Of course, the Jinx set will likely include a glider, pickaxe, and back bling. Other Gaming Legends sets have gone as far as to include emotes and additional style options.
As the release of Arcane draws near and more details are revealed, we will continue to keep this article updated. However, you should be able to dominate Fortnite as your favorite League of Legends character by this weekend.
