If you have been active in Fortnite communities around the web, you may have seen jokes about a covered bridge in Fortnite.

The origination of this meme was a page in a book titled “Hacks for Fortniters: An unofficial guide to tips and tricks that other guides won’t teach you.”

Honestly just calling people “Fortniters” was probably the only red flag you needed. The book is still on sale for $9.99 and actually features more positive reviews than negative ones.

The page that has been memed for the last week was a section on how to cross a river in the best way possible.

Posted by VaydaRS, the picture rose to one of the top posts on /r/FortniteBR over the last month.

These high-level strats are not for the faint of heart. It is crucial to raise your bridge over the river for absolutely no reason at all. Spending 150 mats on a covered bridge seems like a brilliant use of resources as well.

As one can expect, the Fortnite community has taken off with these tips and began adding the vaunted covered bridge strat to their own games.

Sword_Warrior124 took the covered bridge event further by adding a radar tower to the top. They are basically invincible now.

What happens when you take the port-a-fort and instead have it make a covered bridge? It still goes unused.

Oh wait, what’s this? Ocean-manfan actually found a logical reason to use a bridge. You even need to raise it to protect from the lava. The author of the book must have been predicting the volcano, truly 3000 IQ.

Thank god for the lava, I was worried that my adversaries could have used my bridge to hunt me down. from r/FortNiteBR

And now, by far the most impressive, someone apparently filled all their mats to full and did a massive covered-bridge skybridge. Honestly, it’s truly a glorious creation.

He really had the time and extra resources. from r/FortNiteBR

Now I’m torn whether to not give this author any of my money, or to buy the book as a prank gift for my brother’s upcoming birthday. It’s a tough decision..
