Fortnite’s annual summer event is taking place during the Season 7 alien invasion. As such, the Fortnite Cosmic Summer Celebration will welcome the aliens with music, games, and more.
At the start of Fortnite Season 7, aliens invaded The Island and abducted the Zero Point. While they appear hostile during rounds of Fortnite, some of The Island’s inhabitants don’t think they’re that bad. Sunny, a new character introduced this season, is ready for aliens to take over.
The Fortnite Cosmic Summer Celebration is likely the work of Sunny. The posters for the event claim that it is a welcome party. The Sunny NPC often states that if we are good to the aliens, they will be good to us. It makes sense that Sunny would want to host a party meant to welcome an alien takeover.
Cosmic Summer Celebration start date & location
The festivities begin at 9 a.m. EST on June 22, and they will kick off at Believer Beach. The official Fortnite Twitter stated that the event will take place for two weeks. During the event, players can expect to see new quests, rewards, and NPCs.

A new Summer Brutus NPC can be found on The Island, and he will also introduce a new weapon. He will sell the Exotic Pulse Rifle for 500 gold bars. This gun shoots 2 bullets per shot like a burst rifle and has less recoil than other Pulse Rifles.
It is also rumored that the aliens will destroy Coral Castle. This massive POI is one of the least visit places since its arrival in Season 3. Files have been datamined to reveal that Coral Castle will be destroyed this season, and we are hoping it will be during the Fortnite Cosmic Summer Celebration. Needless to say, the community is ready to get rid of Coral Castle.
During the event, Fortnite will be teaming up with The O2 to provide an interactive musical experience. Players will also be able to unlock rewards from Cosmic Summer quests and The O2 crossover event. As more information is revealed, we will continue to update our readers with what they can expect from these events.
Fortnite celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community with Rainbow Royale event
The Rainbow Royale event is here to represent and support the Fortnite LGBTQIA+ community. Celebrate with free gear and new music.
Epic Games has announced the Rainbow Royale, an in-game event meant to celebrate the Fortnite LGBTQIA+ community.
Fortnite wants players to know that everyone is welcome aboard the Battle Bus, and as such, it is throwing an in-game celebration for a portion of its community. The event is called Rainbow Royale, and Epic Games invites everyone to see what’s happening in-game and beyond during this celebration.
To start, Epic Games is giving away free cosmetic items that represent the Fortnite LGBTQIA+ community. As well, various LGBTQIA+ musical artists are featured on the in-game radio when driving vehicles. There are also new Creative Mode items that add a splash of color to any player’s build.
Free Cosmetic Items
For the next week, Fortnite’s Item Shop will have six free items that players can claim and gift to friends. These Rainbow Royale cosmetics can be used to support diversity as well as battle in style. Players will have to manually purchase the items, but they are all listed at a price of 0 V-Bucks.
The free Rainbow Royale cosmetics include the Take A ‘Bow emote, Wild Rainbow Wrap, and four sprays. The sprays are colored to represent a wider spectrum of the Fortnite LGBTQIA+ community.
Fortnite Rainbow Royale Radio changes
Last month, Rocket League added several free tracks to the game through the Love ISLV playlist. Now, these songs have made their way into Fortnite via the game’s own radio stations. Eight different songs from LGBTQIA+ artists can be heard across three different radio stations. Here are the tracks and their respective station:
- Big Freedia – Platinum
- Lil Nas X – Montero
- King Princess – Pain
- Troye Sivan – STUD
- Ben Platt – Imagine
- Daya – Bad Girl
- Hayley Kiyoko – Found My Friends
- Kim Petras – Malibu
Creative rainbow flag
Lastly, Fortnite has added a Rainbow Flag prop to the Creative Mode building assets. This ensures that no matter how you decide to play, you can support the Fortnite LGBTQIA+ community.
Fortnite Taco store opening in Los Angeles for a limited time
Epic Games is opening an IRL Fortnite taco store in Los Angeles for a limited time in partnership with LeBron James.
A Fortnite taco store is opening in Los Angeles, California for a limited time starting on July 20.
Taking a page out of the Mr. Beast playbook, it seems that Epic Games will be opening its own restaurant. However, it won’t be a lasting part of their brand. Instead, this Fortnite taco store will only be around for a few days before it’s gone forever.
This isn’t the first time that Epic Games has brought its massively popular Battle Royale into the real world. Close to the start of Chapter 1 Season 5, iconic symbols from the game started appearing in the real world. And a week before Chapter 2 Season 7, crop circles and billboards advertised the alien-themed season.
When and where to get Fortnite tacos
LA Eater reported that LeBron James would be hosting a pop-up taco store in partnership with Fortnite. The restaurant would be called El Rey’s Taco Tuesday and will be open from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 20. It will also be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on July 21, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 22.
Each day, the Fortnite taco store will move to a different location in Los Angeles. On Tuesday it will be at 8175 Melrose Avenue. On Wednesday it will be in West Hollywood. And on Thursday, the address is listed as 90046.
LA Eater also reports that the event (including food) will be free for all who attend. The pop-up stores will also feature items, decor, and food inspired by Fortnite. Promotional material and footage of one of the restaurants were found online today and can be seen below.
This type of advertisement isn’t something Fortnite has ever done before. Sure, Epic Games has hosted IRL puzzles and has posted real people in the middle of the desert to guard a giant burger statue. But it’s never opened a physical establishment and invited the world to lunch.
Fans are already speculating that attendees will receive codes for free in-game goodies, while others believe that LeBron James will be in attendance. We don’t know for sure what will come of this event, but the grand opening of El Rey’s Taco Tuesday is only a day away.

Fortnite’s annual Summer celebration is back, and it’s offering a ton of free rewards. Here are all of the Fortnite Cosmic Summer challenges and rewards.
The Fortnite Cosmic Summer Celebration was advertised as a welcoming party for the aliens. The same aliens that stole the Zero Point and are now abducting players. However, there are still some inhabitants on The Island who believe the aliens are good.
Regardless, players can participate in the summer festivities to earn free rewards. Similar to Fortnite’s Winter events, new challenges will unlock daily for players to complete. The Summer event is meant to last for two weeks, so Epic Games is stretching out the quests to last just as long. Players will want to complete these challenges to unlock some pretty sweet rewards.
