The Fortnite Competitive Series for Season X was a big hit and it’s coming back again for Chapter 2. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

For Chapter 2, the FNCS is returning in a big way and after having the Trios format for the previous season, we’re switching it up to a Squads format so the teams are being forced to add an extra player.

Epic Games penned a blog post that details the competitive details for the upcoming season and it includes warmup the weekend before everything kicks off that will allow you to experiment with your squad before money is actually on the line.

The series officially begins November 1 and there will be a three-round Squads event each weekend for four weeks.

Top teams each week from each region to the Chapter 2 Season 1 Finals. Points will continue to be awarded based on each team’s final placement every week during the FNCS to determine team placement on the Series Leaderboard. The top performers on this leaderboard will also advance to the Season Finals.

The Champion Series is back.

Season Finals will be held online for each region on December 6 – 8 which determines the victor. The prize pool includes $5,000,000 across all regions and competitions, including weekly Cash Cups and new platform-specific tournaments.

It’s an exciting time to get involved with the Fortnite competitive scene and with Chapter 2 feeling like a fresh start for the game, we suspect there will be more players than ever trying to the game out.

Of course, the competitive scene isn’t for everyone but that’s okay as the team at Epic are still working on improving the regular version of the game and making it fun for everyone.

The inaugural season of the FNCS was a success and with Epic putting even more emphasis on the second season, it’s clear it isn’t going anywhere and will continue to grow.
