Fortnite Bruno Mars skin makes for perfect after kill emote

Fortnite’s new Bruno Mars skin can be paired with another Icon Series cosmetic to make for the perfect after kill emote.

Emoting after you eliminate a player in Fortnite is a long-standing tradition, but the Bruno Mars skin might have perfected it.

The competitive nature of online gaming draws the need to smack talk your opponents. That can be teabagging in Halo or verbally harassing players over voice chat.

Regardless, gamers often find the need to rub their wins in their opponents’ faces. This is evident in Fortnite when players will emote after eliminating their foes.

These emotes can be infuriating. Especially when players use the “Laugh It Up” or “Take The L” emotes. But the new Bruno Mars skin might have the best after-kill emote potential out of all of Fortnite’s cosmetics.

Bruno Mars after kill emote is perfect

This after-kill emote was first posted to the r/FortNiteBR subreddit by user miel_txt. In a post captioned “You guys really shouldn’t have given me this skin”, the user shows off the best skin/emote combo in Fortnite.

Using the Bruno Mars skin, the user snipes an unsuspecting player in the head and eliminates them. They then promptly throw down and wall and edit it to make a door. After opening the door, they use the “Leave the Door Open” emote which features the popular Bruno Mars song.

It’s hard to be mad at this well-crafted emote. Most after-kill emotes make players mad because they feel so cocky. But Bruno Mars leaving the door open almost makes getting eliminated worth it.

You’ll have to make two item shop purchases to complete this combo. Bruno Mars is a whopping 1,800 V-Bucks, and the “Leave The Door Open” emote is 500.

The Silk Song section is currently in the Item Shop which includes both required items. So, if you don’t want to wait for Bruno Mars to come back to the shop, now’s your chance to snag this perfect combo.

Two more fighters from the iconic Street Fighter roster are making their way to Fortnite, and players will have a chance to fight for the Sakura and Blanks cosmetics during two upcoming tournaments.

In February of 2021, the first two Street Fighter characters made their debut in Fortnite. Ryu and Chun-Li are arguably the most iconic fighters from the Street Fighter series.

As such, their debut was a hit with many players favoring Chun-Li’s smaller visual design over Ryu’s bulky muscular figure. Despite seeing them hold firearms being a bit odd, they fit into Fortnite’s world perfectly.

Now, two more Street Fighter legends are joining the fight. Introducing the beast Blanka and martial arts expert Sakura.

Sakura is also a long-standing character in the franchise. She will come in two styles as well and has the Sakura’s Victory Sway built-in emote.

Players can also purchase her Fighting Tournament Trophy pickaxe and Kayari Buta glider.

The MK-Seven was the victor of the first Fortnite Season 2 Unvaulting Battle, and it can be found in-game just as it could in Season 1.

Fortnite MK Seven

After a short trial period, and an even shorter voting period, the fan-favorite MK-Seven Assault Rifle is back in Fortnite.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 has brought back Funding Stations. Several times throughout the season, players can donate to decide which items and weapons make it back into the game.

However, this season there is a slight twist. Players get to use both weapons during a short trial period before the voting begins. During voting, both weapons are removed once more and the winner returns.

The first round of voting was between the Combat Assault Rifle and the fan-favorite MK-Seven. It didn’t take long for players to decide the victor.

MK-Seven returns in Fortnite Season 2

Voting started on April 5th following a two-day trial period. Players were able to use both the Combat AR and MK-Seven from April 2 – 4.

When voting began, the MK-Seven took an early lead, and it only took until around 8:30 PM EST on April 7 for the race to end. The MK-Seven had won by a landslide.

The moment the goal was met, the MK-Seven was unvaulted and players could find it in-game just as they could in Season 1. The only difference is that the Mythic version is not in Fortnite (yet?).

It is possible that The Foundation could once again carry his Mythic MK-Seven, but that isn’t the case quite yet. We will keep you updated if and when that happens.

Now, we wait for the next Unvautling Battle to begin. Hopefully it will be a more interesting race than the shut out we just witnessed.

Until then, check out where to find the Heavy Sniper in Fortnite Season 2.
