The second teaser video for Season 7 revealed a new alien shotgun in Fortnite that’s coming to the Battle Royale mode.
Starting yesterday, June 5, Fortnite began posting teaser videos to their Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter profiles. Each teaser contains three items, and a different description for each item can be found on their different social media pages.
The first day of teasers showed a small toy Fishstick, a carton of milk, and a new alien weapon. Players have begun to speculate that Season 7 will introduce weapon charms, a new milk consumable, and an anti-gravity gun. The second teaser included a guitar, a pair of glasses, and a mysterious alien shotgun in Fortnite.
Season 7 teaser reveals new alien shotgun
The description for the shotgun was posted to the official Fortnite Facebook page. It reads, “Final designs of proximity deterrent device now rendering. Lab results show positive effect on target movement and trajectory.” However, this weapon might be familiar to those who play the Save The World mode.
This weapon originally debuted in Save The World and it’s called the Pulsar 9000. It’s a legendary Sci-fi weapon that can be purchased from the weekly store and is pretty overpowered against swarms of husks. Instead of shooting a spread of bullets like normal shotguns, the Pulsar 9000 fire circular energy disks. These disks travel roughly 2 tiles before disappearing.
The Pulsar 9000’s clip holds 25 rounds but fires five rounds per shot. The weapon’s magazine, as well as its other stats, are subject to change when importing the weapon from Save The World to Battle Royale. Regardless, it does seem as if the shotgun has been made by the aliens according to its description.
We won’t know until Fortnite Season 7 just how powerful this new shotgun is. Will it be a menace like the Drum Shotgun, or will it be annoying to use like the Charge Shotgun? More importantly, are there more futuristic alien weapons on the way?
Where to get Ripsaw Launcher in Fortnite Season 3
Ripsaw Launcher was added in v21.10 update in Fortnite Season 3. Here’s where you can find them.
Fortnite introduced loopers to exciting new weapons and cosmetics in Season 3 that they have been enjoying ever since it launched. A popular weapon that made the highlights in the trailer for the latest season was the Ripsaw Launcher and it is now in-game for players to experience.
Weapons arsenal in Fortnite has changed over the years that matches the theme of a particular season as well as justifies its use. This season players saw the addition of new weapons like Hammer Assault Rifle and DMR, offering players a high energy combat in every match they play and have grown popular with time.
However, several items like the Grapple Gun, which is not considered as a weapon, has also been a popular new item in-game as players are enjoying it to its fullest. Although with the launch of the Season 3 trailer, players saw a tease at a saw blade like weapon where they can easily destroy builds, vehicles and their enemies in a single shot, if arranged in a single line.
The weapon officially named as Ripsaw Launcher, has now been added to v21.10 update this week and is on the island for players to use. Here’s where you can get it.
Get Ripsaw Launcher and use it in the island now
Ripsaw Launcher is a launcher based rare weapon that can be found in-game now for players to claim and slash their enemies with. You can find a limited amount of these weapons only at a certain POI rather than in Chest Loot or Supply Drops.
To get the weapon, you first need to land north of Logjam Lotus (earlier Logjam Lumberyard) in a Logjam warehouse. Once landed, you will then need to head inside the building with a Logjam sign inside of it.
As you proceed into the building, you will be able to see 4 of these launchers mounted on a wall where you can interact and equip as much as you would like. You can also stack all 4 of them in your loadout.
However, every launcher has only 12 blade shots that you can shoot from it. It suits as the best weapon to shred builds in one single shot and reveal your enemies. Moreover, you can use it to destroy enemy vehicles as one blade deals 100 damage to them.
The reload time for the launcher is 3.5 seconds. Although, once you spin it, it will continue to do so for 10 seconds and deal 25 damage per build and 60 damage to players. The weapon will deploy a blade when fired and will travel in a straight vertical line and keep on destroying everything in its way.
Although this not be an ideal weapon for close combat fights, but if combined with another weapons with timing, could be extremely deadly to your opponents. However, the recoil rate for this weapon is extremely high so its accuracy is highly doubtable.
Fortnite leak shows Skateboards arriving in Season 3
Fortnite is adding more and more fun elements into the island this season and Skateboards might be the next one. Here’s the latest on it.
Fortnite Season 3 has kicked off with loads of fun elements for loopers to enjoy in-game and vibe along the summer themed challenges that dropped with the recent v21.10 update. To add to this fun, vehicles like Skateboards might join the likes of rumored Motorbikes this season as well.
Loopers are having a blast dropping in on the island from the Battle Bus and claiming loot from their Reality Saplings, riding Ballers around Rave Cave, using the recently unvaulted Lightsabers and battle Darth Vader as a boss. However, apart from Ballers, loopers are missing out on fun with vehicles as they enjoyed last season with Tanks and Armored Battle Buses (which are still around the island).
Several speculations this season have been directed towards a motorcycle vehicle that might be added soon to the game, according to several leaks, and will be a part of the summer themed bonanza Epic would bring to the players. However, to double the fun, developers might bring a vehicle similar to Hoverboards, but this time around, like a skateboard.
Fortnite to add Skateboards soon in Season 3
According to recent leaks on social media, it has been revealed that Epic has recently started working on Skating mechanics that bear similarity to sliding mechanics that are currently present in-game. Slower when going uphill and faster when going downhill.
This suggests that Roller Skates or Skateboards might be a possibility to be added as either vehicles or traversal items in-game in the near future or this season. Moreover, it would only make sense for Epic to add these items to Fortnite as the entire summer theme of Item Shop cosmetics revolves around surfing and skateboarding, like the recently released Skate Park Royalty Pack.
The leaked gameplay video above shows the mechanics in action where a player is sliding without crouching and goes on slower as it goes uphill. Moreover, it looks like between the increase of speed, the player is kicking the board with its feet to move faster and can also jump from heights without inflicting heavy fall damage on themselves.
Although this looks like an interesting concept, players are still used to Hoverboards as they still stand as the OG traversal vehicle back from Chapter 1 that loopers used to do tricks on. However, with the arrival of Skateboards in the game, loopers might see the addition of a Skate Park POI or several ramps where loopers can perform tricks and farm crazy amounts of XP.
Where to find Darth Vader NPC in Fortnite Season 3
The Sith Lord has arrived to the Fortnite island with his fleet of Stormtroopers to show loopers the true power of the dark side. Here’s how you can find and duel him.
Darth Vader was recently added as an NPC boss in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 island with the latest v21.10 update. Ever since his arrival in the Battle Pass and flamboyant show of abilities in the trailer for this season, loopers have been dying to engage with him in a Duel of Fates.
Fortnite and Star Wars collaborations grow stronger everyday as more and more characters from the famous space saga join the loop. First there was Kylo Ren, Rey and members of the new trilogy, alongside Imperial Stormtroopers, then came the bounty hunters with the likes of Mandalorian and Boba Fett and now the original and prequel trilogy characters like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader have arrived to the island.
With the release of the trailer for Fortnite Season 3, Vibin’, players saw Darth Vader’s Lightsaber and his force pull and choke abilities for the first time in-game and have been waiting for the moment to get their hands on both. Unfortunately, the force can only be wielded by the Sith Lord himself, his lightsaber is up for grabs to whoever defeats him. Here’s where you can find and fight him and his Imperial forces.
Battle Darth Vader on the island now
Darth Vader is a random spawn NPC who flies alongside the Battle Bus when players get into a match. Him and his fleet of Imperial Stormtroopers can be seen flying in a Lambda Class Shuttle Vehicle where you need to track where the shuttle lands and accordingly choose your drop spot.
Although, it is advised that you shouldn’t directly drop at the exact same spot where his ship lands as you won’t have a weapon to battle him with. Moreover, as soon as he spots an enemy, he takes out his lightsaber and throws it towards them and if you try to escape him, he would force pull you towards him, while his nasty Stormtroopers keep on firing at you with their E-11 Blaster Rifles.
So it is advised that you land at a spot closest to the shuttle where you can farm some loot as well as consumables. That way, you’d be fully stacked to take on the Sith Lord as well as the Stormtroopers surrounding him.
Once you eliminate him, you will be able to wield his Mythic Red Lightsaber which offers heavy damage, blocking as well as a jump slash attack. Moreover, you can also claim the E-11 Blaster Rifles that the Stormtroopers would drop so you can have access to both the weapons to choose from, depending upon the battle you engage in.
However, wherever Vader’s shuttle lands, the POI usually has a high rate of Chest Spawns so you can take a risk and land there to claim your fight with the Sith Lord at first. Although it might be risky and dangerous, it is worthy enough to engage in a duel and claim the High Ground to impress Vader.
