Epic Games have released another new update for their popular battle royale title Fortnite in the V12.21 patch, which is now live on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1 was the longest in the game’s history, with many fans of the game complaining that developers Epic Games didn’t update the game often enough. This hasn’t been the case in Season 2 though, with the developers pushing out weekly updates to the game, introducing new items and vehicles like the Choppa.
While v12.20 made a massive change to the game with the addition of a brand-new vehicle, the changes in March 24’s update are less profound, although it will still improve gameplay for fans of the battle royale game.
With no major headline addition in this challenge, Oro takes center stage, as the character’s challenge set has been leaked by data miner StreakyFly, with players tasked with assisting teammates on eliminations, playing games with friends, dealing damage to opponents, and collecting medals.
Each challenge will offer 100,000 XP towards your battle pass, while completing all four will also unlock a special wrap and harvesting tool to match the skin. You can view the full challenge set below.
Epic added a new Spy Games LTM and some additional intel to the mode with the v12.21 patch, as well. This was, probably, the primary reason for a content update.
The new Knockout LTM is a bracket-style competition that pits players against one another for four rounds. The squad with the most eliminations moves on until there’s only one team left.
New Ghost intel:
- Suppressed SMG
- Creepin’ Cardboard with more damage
- Increased Semi-Auro Sniper rarity
- Reinvigorated perk – instantly regain health after an elimination
- Scoped AR with reduced recoil
- Buffed Chug Splashes
- Parting Gift perk – Leave behind a Proximity Mine where you were eliminated
- Shield Bubble
New Shadow intel:
- Hand Cannon
- Decoy Grenade
- Pump Shotgun with increased rarity
- Shield Steal perk – Gain shields by damaging shielded opponents
- Rapidfire SMG with more ammo
- Jetpack upgrade
- Air Raid perk – Deal increased damage while airborne for longer than one second
- Clinger grenades
This was a tiny content update and didn’t bring much in the way of changes to the game. Bug fixes have been our true north since Epic stopped releasing patch notes – the one thing that we could rely on with each update.
Unfortunately, that’s not the case this week. None of the bugs listed on the Fortnite Community Issues Trello board have been marked as ‘Fixed in Live,’ which means we’ll have to wait another week for the Harpoon bug and other issues to get patched.
That’s all that has been discovered from the 12.21 Update, but we’ll be sure to update this article if anything else is found or confirmed.
