Epic Games have announced that Fortnite’s Support-A-Creator program has been officially extended, and will be a permanent fixture in the popular battle royale title.
Support-A-Creator was introduced the game back in October 2018 during Season 6 of Fortnite, giving fans of popular streamers and personalities the opportunity to support their favorite content creators through the game.
Fans who spent any of Fortnite’s in-game currency V-Bucks were able to enter the Epic tag of their chosen content producer, who would then receive a cut of the V-Bucks.
Since the start of the event, over 10,000 streamers, video makers, storytellers artists and other creatives have signed up to the program, with new creators added to the list every day.
The event was scheduled to end on December 31, but it seems that the success of the program has persuaded Epic Games to scrap the deadline and allow Support-A-Creator to run permanently as a feature of the game.
