In Fortnite’s v8.20 Content Update, Epic brought back bows to Fortnite.

Besides a brief return for Valentines Day, bows haven’t been a part of Fortnite for months.

Now there is a way to shoot arrows at opponents, and the bow seems pretty powerful so far.

So if you are at work or school and haven’t been able to test out the new update yet, here are some good looks at what the weapon is capable of:

Ninja was one of the first streamers to grab a highlight as he used the bow to just clear out a couple groups of enemies with ease.

FaZe Clan’s Mew may have hit the most impressive shot we will ever see with the weapon just hours after it was released.

Here’s one more sweet shot just to add to the highlights. This one comes from YouTuber Joogie:

It is going to take some time for the meta to settle and people to figure out how good the Boom Bow is, but some people already think it is crazy OP including Sceptic who is a content creator for Misfits.

His tweet makes it seem absurdly powerful but the bow is slow as it requires a draw time to power up and doesn’t do a ton of damage to structures, so I don’t think it will be a meta-defining weapon like we have seen in the past.

What are your first reactions and thoughts about the Boom Bow? Too strong, too weak or balanced?
