From July 26 to July 28, hundreds of the top Fortnite Battle Royale players from around the world will meet at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City to compete for $30 million.
Epic Games has kept a tight lock on images and videos of the Fortnite World Cup venue, but on July 25, a few lucky people were able to see sneak-peaks of the entire arena.
Media who were approved by Epic staff were able to tour the venue for a special press event with several members recording videos to post on social media.
Fortnite World Cup arena
The first set of photos and video began to release on Twitter giving a first-look at the gigantic Fortnite-themed arena.
A journalist at the venue, Victoria from Proving Grounds, was able to capture this video showing off the stage, over-head monitor, and arena layout.
Victoria also included that a production member told her that Epic began planning production for the Fortnite World Cup over ten months ago!
The event is certainly a handful for staff as there are over 22 miles of cables, 22 observers, and two control rooms for broadcasting.
Dexerto was also able to grab footage of the stage while showing off the size of the Arthur Ashe stadium in Flushing, New York.
The Arthur Ashe stadium is typically used for tennis matches, but the venue looks perfect for the biggest Fortnite event to ever happen.
Fortnite in NYC
Since the beginning of the week, there have been Fortnite World Cup advertisements all over New York City. Thanks to one of our fans in the city, we were able to grab some pictures of the promotional digital images.
It looks like there are two advertisements being shown around the city on digital LinkNYC boards.
The first promotional picture shows the World Cup Finals logo while the second displays the Fishstick skin.
Day one of the Fortnite World Cup finals kick off tomorrow, July 26, at around 12:30 PM ET / 9:30 AM PT.
