FaZe Clan’s professional Fortnite player Turner ‘Tfue’ Tenney showed his stream how to take advantage of the newly updated vending machines which can reward players with multiple free items.
Vending machines in Fortnite were updated within the v8.10 patch released on March 12, where they now only reward players with one item before self-destructing.
Before the v8.10 update, players could spend materials in order to “purchase” weapons or healing items, but now everything within the vending machines are free.
FaZe Tfue was able to find a new exploit in order to receive multiple items for free from vending machines, as long as players are within a duo or squad.
Tfue was playing with Team Liquid’s Ryan ‘Chap’ Chaplo when he demonstrated the exploit for his Twitch stream:
Chap and Tfue were both able to grab items from the vending machine at the same time due to the machine’s timing “not being that tight”, according to Tfue.
Tfue has found several exploits before within Fortnite, including the Grappler exploit which guaranteed high-ground to any player within a fight.
This exploit could be useful for players who are within a duo or squad and need to find items quickly and safely.
Vending Machines were first added into Fortnite back in Season 3 with patch v3.40 with the chance of dropping common, uncommon, rare, legendary, or epic loot.
Competitive players can’t be too happy to hear about the exploit, especially with the Fortnite World Cup fast approaching, with online qualifiers beginning on April 13.
Epic hasn’t commented on the vending machine drop exploit, but if they do we will be sure to keep you updated with any news here at @FortniteINTEL!
